Does anyone think they've maybe changed Mitcham ? I've been using it for a long time ( the push up variety ) but it isn't lasting on me or dh as usual .

but that isn't an antipersperant, which is what this thread is about!

I use dove now and it works well but used to swear by Mitchum but found it stopped working - I’m a nurse so handy it lasted so long in thick uniform plastic aprons ppe etc then all of a sudden it decided it wasn’t going to work so swapped to sure max and now use dove which is really nice. Not sure if I just used it and it stopped being effective or they changed it in some way but wasn’t v nice being pongy

Forever42 · 29/01/2023 13:26

Opened a new one this week. Halfway through the day I noticed I smelled of BO. Same thing happened the next day. I've used Mitchum for over 25 years - introduced DD and DH to it. Now I have two unopened ones in the cupboard and it doesn't work any more. Have ordered some dove maximum to try.

McSleepy · 29/01/2023 17:40

I used Mitchum for years and it was the only thing that worked but I still ended up sweaty and smelly if it was an especially hot/stressful day and I found my clothes retained the smell. Changed to wild 6 months ago and aside from not having a smelly day since, I am much less sweaty and my clothes don’t smell - even the ones that previously did. It is more expensive but I would highly rate it and it’s had a huge positive effect on me.

Isn't it?
It is anti sweat 🤷🏻

Whatmarbles · 29/01/2023 17:49

@MountedbyHarryWindsor and the title of the thread has deodorant in it too 🤔

OnTheBoardwalk · 29/01/2023 20:51

I thought it was me that was getting more stinky as I’ve used it for years without smelling till recently

VictoriaBun · 29/01/2023 22:25

When I posted the thread , it was about Mitcham in general , my go to one was powder fresh , then tried the bamboo , and then even the one for men. None of them work anymore be it deodorant or antiperspirant .
so many of us are saying that so I emailed them and have posted the reply .

I've switched to Sure, and I no longer have BO.

I bid farewell to my lifelong loyalty to Mitchum

VictoriaBun · 05/02/2023 22:24

@anon666

yes me also.

Have just received these in the post.

I’ve had another can stop working this morning and it’s over a quarter full.. Can I asked what email you used to complain?

Kissedbyfire1 · 07/02/2023 12:08

I think they’ve changed the formulation somehow because I can’t use it any longer as it brings me out in a rash. Been using it for decades. I’ve changed to Vichy which is VERY expensive but fab.

PrincessGraceless · 07/02/2023 12:29

Oddly I’ve just switched to it (the gel) as used to be great but my armpits seem to smell of hair dye today. 🤔Certainly a smell that reminds me of the hairdressers. Chemically. Also anyone else noticed that they started sweating more after going in HRT? Not hot flushes (fixed those!) but just sweating like maybe I did when younger … hormonal maybe?

Amortentia · 07/02/2023 17:46

I’ve used Mitchum for years and it’s worked really well. I tried the new Bamboo one and had such a bad reaction to it. It took about a week to recover because I scratched my skin raw. God knows what’s in it.

VictoriaBun · 07/02/2023 17:48

@noimaginationforausername

Hello I just put Mitcham customer service into search.

OnTheBoardwalk · 07/02/2023 20:25

I’ve tried Sure in the past but didn’t really work for me, which is why I went Mitchum, what are people using?

@Kissedbyfire1 I’ve not heard of Vichy, can you tell me more please?

I’m tired of being stinky

Kissedbyfire1 · 07/02/2023 20:42

@OnTheBoardwalk It’s this one

Kissedbyfire1 · 07/02/2023 20:44

@OnTheBoardwalk it goes on quite wet but isn’t heavily perfumed, just an unobtrusive light scent and works really well.

Yes terrible after menopause

AlisonDonut · 07/02/2023 20:46

I usually get my OH to buy me a few of these when he comes back to the UK so I'll cancel the next order. Bloody annoying though.

OnTheBoardwalk · 07/02/2023 21:34

Thank you very much @Kissedbyfire1

Heartbreaktuna · 07/03/2023 08:16

I'm so glad I found this thread. I've been buying Mitchum for very a decade but the "unscented" roll on now smells like bottled sweat.

Cyanchicken · 07/03/2023 08:48

I use the dark green men's roll on one now - the powder fresh roll on used to work well but has stopped working

Yes! I kept thinking I must have covid because no manufacturer in their right minds would deliberately sell a deodorant that smells of sweat, right?

Wrong.

Mitchum actually smells of mouldy sweat.
