@lordloveadog .. , I just pounced on the Flotsam dress in M. I already have the L coming but on reading the reviews after I ordered I now think that it will be too big ..
So now I have 3 parcels in the Black hole of Swansea and another coming🤦‍♀️ .. ( one I will definitely keep - the smaller replacement Fenugreek trousers)

Noodle421 · 18/01/2023 11:41

I’m very happy with this small item. I brought up the subject of de - bobbling devices in a previous comment - Toast are now selling this… I think it’s new ? Just tried it out and love the results so far. A very light touch is very effective. I tried it on a coat and cashmere jumper. Start of 2023 and I’m determined to take better care of my small quantity of lovely knitwear. Very happy with this ( worryingly excited to be honest 😂)

@Noodle421 - that looks very interesting!

Noodle421 · 18/01/2023 13:04

It’s made from recycled glass

Countmeout · 18/01/2023 13:08

Yes looks new. The cashmere comb was in sale and I bought it. I have to say it does a better job than my battery debobbler. This would be interesting to hear about too.

Hello, I haven't posted for a while but dropping in with a new username - inspired by another thread referencing the Toast look 😁

Did anyone watch the video? I like quite a lot from this season though the main thing I have my eye on are the green utility trousers, I've been looking for similar for a while

These

It was good to see some of the new items on @AFingerofFudge - seems like you should get some commission as you inspired some purchases on this thread!

Lovely alterations @dudsville. I wish I was handy with a needle and thread.

I like that jacket on you @happysoju

I've enjoyed all the sale chat (though like others I wish the sale would end now!)
I found a PP's list useful so here is mine

Keepers

linen utility dress I've worn this a lot with a layer underneath, really like it, feels quite elegant being more fitted.

check plum dress again worn lots and slotted well into my wardrobe.

Returned

Utility trousers Laska has -

liked the shape but I thought they would be forest green but they were more khaki

Floral dress

love the pattern and it was well made but an odd shape with big sleeves which made me look really bulky on top

Still awaiting

Pique bib dress - does anyone have this, love the Amish vibe of it!

Also the solovair forest boots and a herringbone coatigan - both very reduced.

Noodle421 · 18/01/2023 16:09

Has anyone ordered the Breton top ?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 18/01/2023 16:51

I love this Drawstring collar tunic dress even more now I’ve seen it on the live event. The model was the same height as me and the length looked good.
Still can’t understand why it’s so expensive.

lordloveadog · 18/01/2023 16:52

Does anyone have a link to the video or tip for how to find it? I'm hopeless at navigating instagram, if that's where it is.

Countmeout · 18/01/2023 16:55

@lordloveadog .
does this work. Scroll down to the right one

Thank you @Countmeout!!

AFingerofFudge · 18/01/2023 17:06

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I'm glad you asked that about the drawstring dress. I resisted trying it on as I think it's about £100 more than it should be (and even the person working in the shop agreed with me on that one!)
I do like it though. Hopefully it won't sell at full price and then be in the sale!

faustina · 18/01/2023 17:24

I loved that dress too but totally agree on the price being 100 too much

As from next week. The llandeilo store is taking away its archive department and replacing it with menswear 😡

Oh no. I have a friend who lived in Llandeilo and that was a highlight of visiting her. 😢

Laska2Meryls · 18/01/2023 17:59

I am actually glad that I dont live near Llandelio or Kilver Court, I couldn't afford it!
Do any of the London stores have an archive department?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 18/01/2023 18:43

@AFingerofFudge I’d really like to try it on but then I would be tempted to keep it at full price if it looked good. I definitely can’t afford it at the moment, although I did ooh and aah at it in the live event hoping DH might take the hint 😁.
But, yes, definitely over priced.

According to my friend you become immune to temptation. She’s highly amused by my inability to visit the shop without buying anything.

dudsville · 18/01/2023 21:33

So much to catch up on!

@lordloveadog , I shall have to live vicariously through you and your dress happiness!

I'm also trying the brushed cotton linen trousers @Laska2Meryls as they finally dropped to a price I'm willing to pay for something so casual but i also expect them to be too big. If not then I'm hoping they'll provide a similar use as the linen trousers from earlier in the sale that were just too big.

I've also bought the draped linen dress @WidowMaroonedOnADesertIsland (great name and reference point!), that makes 3 dresses on their way to me that are described as having more of a fitted bodice and I'm actually really up for it if the style works for me. One has long sleeves which I'll shorten if i keep it.

Interesting talk about the new stuff. I've had a look but my pocket book is safe for now.

ToastCosILoveIt · 18/01/2023 21:42

@WidowMaroonedOnADesertIsland , I have the pique dress, it arrived this morning. I got a 10 and am a high street 12 but busty. It fits around the bust but only just. The ties are also quite high up: closer to my bust line than on the model. Having said all of that, it is lovely and I am mulling it over. I need to try it on again to decide for definite. It definitely has an Amish vibe and is nice and long but not too long (i am 5ft 5).

@Snowyowl78 , all that talk of jumpsuits made me order it too: love a good jump suit and this looks to tick that box. I am off on a citybreak next week and hoping it will be something i want to bring with me.

Like others, this thread definitely ups my Toast spend. i bought some ticking bedding in the sale and loved it so much I have bought the full price pink ticking bedding.

mizu · 18/01/2023 22:17

Gosh I LOVE that crinkle checked dress. I might have to go and try on ....... I have a big birthday coming up so it could be a big gift Grin

Thon · 18/01/2023 22:53

Oh my is this a Toast fan club? 😍

I think I need that black dress @AFingerofFudge

Yup 😂. Enabling each other since the first lockdown! All fans welcome to join.

Snowyowl78 · 19/01/2023 09:28

The price of an Emma tee has gone up by 20% over the last 1.5 years, I wonder what justifies that!

Laska2Meryls · 19/01/2023 09:33

So they can still make the same amount of profit even if they dont sell many full price.. in the sale, @Snowyowl78 .
Actually more profit because those buying full price will mean a higher margin for Toast ..
#cynic

Laska2Meryls · 19/01/2023 09:35

That was supposed to have a ? ...
... About making more profit in the sale ?
