Meghan Markle and her Make-Up

Noticed in the Doc that Meghan, although very attractive without make-up, seems beautifully transformed with it somehow? Her eyes, particularly, they pop with definition and her skin glows. I seem to look pretty much the same with or without, so what's the secret? Is it having very defined bone structure and perfect skin so it sits better? Great skills and quality of product?

@Bear65 I think the massage is a big reason why facials do so much for my skin...I'm going to take your advice and try them at home as well.

Her wedding foundation was infact Dior - she used Dior face and body foundation. It prompted me to give it a go and it is now my favourite foundation by a country mile, however the packaging is crap.

Hi - which dior foundation?
Thank you

She has lovely skin (even in the footage of her sans makeup, she looks about a decade younger than she is), plus I suspect all her years of working in showbiz taught her a few things about makeup.

stickybear · 18/12/2022 11:36

Agree with everyone here that her hair and make up always look great, but I've just watched the first episode of the documentary and thought she looked really lovely in the snaps and footage when they were on safari and she was just in scruffy clothes and no make up at all.
Genetically blessed she certainly is!

LadyWithLapdog · 18/12/2022 14:06

This seems like a good place (the thread has remained nice despite discussing Meghan) to ask about her lilac jumper. Or something similar, I liked the colour and I think it would suit my skin tone.

Pondere · 18/12/2022 14:10

It’s really nice to see a MN thread that isn’t criticising MM for her very existence.

Mercurial123 · 18/12/2022 14:26

@ladywithlapdog I was also looking. It was suggested it was from Etsy

@Greensky90
Meg is very attractive and you can see, having ethnic genes is probably why she is ageing well too a darker skin always ages well.
I'm going to assume you don't know better but calling someone 'ethnic' is really inappropriate. We are ALL of an ethnic group. Look up what ethnic means please. You mean 'not white'. Please say what you mean and don't call someone who isn't white 'ethnic'. Jesus weeps

Also, it means nothing. Skin is protected by more melanin, so if it is darker in pigment. Megan is actually quite fair. I’m mixed race and very fair, I will age in accordance with sun protection, lifestyle etc.

HiyaCaath · 18/12/2022 15:33

Also she has similar skin to me and we are the same age, my skin has held up because I can’t drink alcohol and being good with the sunscreen.

piper678 · 20/12/2022 11:58

Meghan has had work done to her nose as well as botox/teeth/other interventions. Not a snub to Meghan - most celebrities have had something done and she looks great before and after. Just a reminder not to compare your natural features to those who have had work done

xogossipgirlxo · 20/12/2022 14:16

I tried to google her make up, because I love her style and her looks. Not sure if all these articles are true about what she uses though? It's expensive skincare, that's for sure, and equally expensive make up. Apparently she loves something like Mac Teddy eyeliner, and it sounds about right, because the colour looks similar to what she has on her eyes. Also, she never goes crazy with colours, only neutrals, nice creamy lipstick etc. I'm not fan of bold lip, so I look up her make up, her hairstyles etc.

Right, Armani on the Christmas list, what else? Has she had lip filler as I have lips which are quite comparatively thin, but have avoided filler as think it looks fake? Kate Middleton looks to have swerved lip filler too, or is it there but subtle. Also does Meghan have veneers, I am seriously considering as I think she has an amazing smile! That helps too as you look warm and approachable, I am painfully shy and rarely smile :). I might if I had incredible teeth! Just need to win tonight's lotto!

I have lip filler. I'm not going to lie, it would never look as good as someone's natural full lips, but I like the effect though. I'm not doing it often. Had it done last time in September 2021 and will have my next one probably at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024 when I hopefully have my healthy baby in my arms then, and will stop breastfeeding if all goes well. I think having it done every 6 months is too much, some ladies look like having allergic reaction. My lips are currently similar size to MM's. My natural lips are very thin (thanks mum and dad).

PinkPanther57 · 20/12/2022 14:29

Thank you, question on nose, can subtle tweaks with filler improve noses? I imagine ‘noses’ are a real art & best surgeons, aestheticians £ & almost impossible to ‘book’ for ordinary folk? You wouldn’t want a ‘bad’ nose job either.

KillingMeDeftly · 20/12/2022 14:44

There are non-surgical nose jobs, which are done with filler, but a good makeup artist can achieve wonders with contouring. I thought that the clips in the documentary of Meghan without makeup made her look very like the pictures we've seen of her at 12 or 13 when she was on some news programme. As for veneers, who knows? Americans tend to take teeth very seriously!

@xogossipgirlxo I think Meghan might've covered her makeup routine in the blog she had for a few years so those articles may be correct.

xogossipgirlxo · 20/12/2022 14:52

Thank you ❤Her skincare is way too expensive to me, and I have oily, acne prone skin, so requires a lot of fuss, but I'm sure I can find dupes of those eyeshadows etc. somewhere cheaper.

PicturesOfDogs · 20/12/2022 15:30

She’s definitely had work done (teeth, nose) but it’s been done really well, so she still looks very ‘natural’. (no hate btw, I love a tweakment)

Although she’s mixed race, she’s actually very pale, but she can ‘warm’ herself up easily, so can play around with colours and tones without getting the orange sort of towie girl look that white people with a similar colour would get.

Onabun · 20/12/2022 16:43

This is interesting, as I thought in the M&H doc on Netflix she looked far more ordinary when she was sat on the sofa... it really showed how much the makeup does. Still very pretty but her facual features were far less striking, although she has clearly filled out a little (as do we all) and I think her cheekbones etc are less defined.

I adore her, I'm so sad she has left the Royal Family, I desperately wanted her to shake it up. She is super stylish.

underthemike · 22/12/2022 23:15

Love this thread I think she's an incredibly good looking woman, but still next door girl looking if that isn't a massive contradiction.

She (and Doris) radiate intelligence and kindness and I hope her and H are very happy have a lovely future ahead of them with their sweet little family.

Mezmer · 22/12/2022 23:45

I do honestly think she has an effervescence about her which is extremely captivating. I kind of have a girl crush on her a bit and totally see why Harry fell for her. It’s a lot to do with her personality. Am pretty sure she’d be great company.

Kindness? Do you think she’s behaved with kindness in all this? I certainly don’t. Doria (not Doris) seems lovely.
