Meghan Markle and her Make-Up

Noticed in the Doc that Meghan, although very attractive without make-up, seems beautifully transformed with it somehow? Her eyes, particularly, they pop with definition and her skin glows. I seem to look pretty much the same with or without, so what's the secret? Is it having very defined bone structure and perfect skin so it sits better? Great skills and quality of product?

She has fabulous skin, and is naturally strikingly beautiful - both of these give a pretty solid foundation for beauty with make-up!

I'm sure I read somewhere that she uses Armani Luminous Silk foundation, and I have to say, it's the sort of thing that shows up beautifully in photos. I have it and think I look fairly indifferent in the mirror, but in pictures I look glowing - I'd imagine that she can afford loads of products that do similar.

I've seen that one recommended too. Can you get a sample I wonder? Or is online ordering?

Her mum is beautiful and has great skin. She's got good genes and bone structure.

I agree, her mum is strikingly beautiful, both now and when she was younger.

Right, Armani on the Christmas list, what else? Has she had lip filler as I have lips which are quite comparatively thin, but have avoided filler as think it looks fake? Kate Middleton looks to have swerved lip filler too, or is it there but subtle. Also does Meghan have veneers, I am seriously considering as I think she has an amazing smile! That helps too as you look warm and approachable, I am painfully shy and rarely smile :). I might if I had incredible teeth! Just need to win tonight's lotto!

What is a good lip colour that makes lips stand out but looks natural?

I use the Armani foundation and it does make my skin look great, but mostly when my skin is in good condition.

I started using it with the matching primer recently and it looks amazing. I’ve never thought primer should match the foundation but I saw a notable difference with this one.

PenanceAdair · 17/12/2022 15:43

Are there any cosmetic treatments you can have to define face and make it look less potato like? (In my case)! :)

I was about to say some sort of facial peel, professional moisturising treatment, etc does help with the skin too.

Nude colours for thin lips. Vaseline over it. I did buy this lip plumper thing by Soap & Glory I think (it's in a pink packaging). It makes your lips tingle lol.

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 15:46

Thank you, profhilo any good re: skin condition, my SIL has it and I think the difference feels subtle for the money - too subtle? Although if money no object, def. Had a Hyrdafacial thing and that just seemed to give me spots. Meghan also looks very young skin wise, if that makes sense. Quality wise it's as if she's late 20s.

Good for sculpting shape of face.

pocketvenuss · 17/12/2022 15:46

She has great skin and good facial structure. Her smile is huge and genuine looking. She's naturally beautiful. With this combination, it's not hard to be elevated by makeup to something quite spectacular.

Wotwotwotwotwot · 17/12/2022 15:49

I don't think lip fillers look good, they always leave lips looking stretched and uncomfortable. I'd definitely not go for them in the pursuit of MM levels of beauty

Hydrafacial - the first will make you break out whilst your skin adjusts and purges. You need to do a whole course. But even then the effects are temporary.

Microneedling gives my skin a nice appearance, thought it really really hurts.

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 15:52

Also I thought it was refreshingly confident to go bare faced in the video and causally etc too rocking all the diff looks. I think that is pretty rare re: celebs, actresses, etc, may pretend they do but she genuinely didn't care. Lighting can make a difference too as someone said upthread, Graham Norton show I noticed the guests always look great, must be well lit.

don't most people look better with makeup? (provided it's well done of course!!)

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 15:53

Ahh, on Hydra Facial. I am a wimp on anything painful but noted someone had a double chin treatment thing done, I don't really have one but think going a bit pouchy there with age.

Also on the hair, does she have extensions, when I blow dry it, seems to look worse! Kate M likely has a hairdresser on hand, many think she has amazing hair but I do wonder if it's just decent and a great blow dry that most of us don't have?

OP posts:
Maireas · 17/12/2022 15:57

Her hair looks very natural, I don't know if she has extensions or just those straightening treatments.

Shejustwentthere · 17/12/2022 15:59

Ok. Just ignore me.

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 16:00

Thank you for posting video, I was just watching it. I am rubbish unless incredible simple but I will give it a try!

The make up used when filming the documentary was 'stage and film' make up, not what she would use when not on show in artificial lighting.

She did look good but I thought that, without make up or with less, she appeared much younger, like the pictures of her when she was growing up, very sweet and pretty with wavy hair.

The purpose of make up is to enhance someone's looks but not disguise them. Make up artists know how to do that. We learn by trial and error :).

lurkinglittleladybug · 17/12/2022 16:01

I love how Meghan always uses her makeup to emphasise her eyes (be it in a natural way!), she has such beautiful eyes and glowing skin. The way she wears her makeup just shows her best features.

Also agree with comments saying her mum Doria is beautiful, she absolutely is stunning too and good gene’s definitely play a part. Meg also has amazing bone structure, again is is down to genes.

EspeciallyD · 17/12/2022 16:02

I don't think she's naturally beautiful but she has amazing skin and hair and her make-up is perfect. But she probably has the best skincare and make-up money can buy, the best hairdressers and make-up artists etc.

grumpytoddler1 · 17/12/2022 16:02

She definitely looks like she has Botox. I suppose it would be unusual not to when living in California. She doesn't seem to get many expression lines, and I think that makes your make up sit better too.

I love how Meghan wears her makeup, it’s so natural looking and she just has this beautiful glow. I do think she has incredible skin though and that probably helps. I don’t think she needs much coverage as such. Skincare is probably the base of her look.

I love how natural she looks though, it’s such a refreshing change from the look of fake eyelashes, filler and contouring you see now on women all over social media. I hate that fake look that seems to be in fashion now.

Meghan is just stunning. Hope she always rocks the natural look!

You also have to remember if you saw her in real life with her camera make up on, she’d look plastered in it. It’s a lot to do with lights and lenses.

Not to say she isn’t both very attractive and well enhanced with make-up, but to look like that all day, you have to have a lighting rig following you around

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 16:05

Interesting on the expression lines, I thought Ashleigh (?) the paternal niece was also very attractive, they have a similar shaped face I think and also Ashleigh has very good bone structure.
