Meghan Markle and her Make-Up

Noticed in the Doc that Meghan, although very attractive without make-up, seems beautifully transformed with it somehow? Her eyes, particularly, they pop with definition and her skin glows. I seem to look pretty much the same with or without, so what's the secret? Is it having very defined bone structure and perfect skin so it sits better? Great skills and quality of product?

Waiting on the announcement that Meg is bringing out a skincare and makeup range 🤣

I would totally buy it! 😁

Can botox do a smoothing thing rather than 'freezing' she could move forehead I noticed but yes, no visible expression lines? Profilho I think can give you that dewy look. I did book for a laser treatment for resurfacing, but very expensive and I am scared by it, sounded very industrial with downtime too and I would feel embarrassed by that and a bit vain.

She certainly does not look as though she's had botox, where I live you frequently see botox'd women and it so obvious. Meghan does have superficial lines. I had a few faint ones when I was fortyish, it's quite normal.

Luredbyapomegranate · 17/12/2022 16:08

I would genuinely go and have a make up lesson, or at least some high quality counter sessions OP - otherwise you will buy expensive products that won’t work for you.

Generally spend money on base, everything else can be cheaper.

Be realistic about lifestyle. How much time do you really have.

Get them to teach you a daytime and evening look separately.

Washing your face using a flannel as a gentle exfoliator makes all the difference in the world.

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 16:09

Now THAT Is a very good idea @OddSocksAndHollyhocks and her mother is the best advert for yoga I've ever seen, her core is enviable, and they feel like they have an appetite for life and would enjoy food! And wine! How much of a difference does cutting out alcohol make?

Yeah but well done Botox isn’t so obvious - especially not around the eyes. Forehead is harder to disguise.

(I don’t know if M has had it or not)

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 16:10

Thanks, Lured! I am not artistic at all! I saw the Trinny stacking pot things and she seems to be able to do a whole look super fast, not sure whether they are worth the investment though? Another thing to try when I have time maybe but I am taking note from experts in thread, thank you! Compiling list!

I am 100% sure she has her skin lasered, most celebs do now as it achieves that 'perfect skin' texture

dollymixtured · 17/12/2022 16:18

Interesting, I actually thought her foundation in the documentary was really heavy and caked and didn't look great. Her natural skin with the freckles is much more glowy. I also hated the lip colour, thought it looked like when we used to use concealer as lipstick back in the 90s! She is stunning though and agree her eye makeup is gorgeous.

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 16:20

@unclebuck that's interesting, is it that which gives the look as if you're lit from within by a light/candle luminosity? I once saw Donna Air and she looked like that, her skin looked like she was lit up from within. Does it minimise pores so you have skin of someone very young? I was scared off by cost and downtime and pain when I looked into it, it sounded pretty drastic?

@dollymixtured does she have a liquid eyeliner on and false lashes, I think someone upthread said at corners only? Certainly looks natural.

I noticed the eyes too. She looks pretty but normal without make up ( that sounds harsh, she's definitely very attractive but she looks civilian without make up) . She's very slim that adds to the Hollywood sheen. She also does a lot with her hair. It's immaculate. I think you could easily walk past her in the street in low maintenance mode.

I had my make up done f oh t my wedding and I looked like a different person. All of us can scrub up well.

LovelyRachel · 17/12/2022 16:23

I noticed this too!

beachcitygirl · 17/12/2022 16:30

There is a truly fantastic scottish make up artist who does teaching videos on Instagram
Jamie Genevieve

She is a reasonably pretty girl but she puts on her make up & it's like she turns into a goddess.

I've learned loads of tricks from her & people always compliment my make up

Bluekerfuffle · 17/12/2022 16:37

I think she looks better without makeup. She looks like a completely different person with it.

Some people look drastically different without their make up, agree that with today's make up and skill anyone can be made to look good.

Meg is very attractive and you can see, having ethnic genes is probably why she is ageing well too a darker skin always ages well. No idea if she has had botox I guess it is possible.

sinkyt · 17/12/2022 16:43

Some people are just transformed by make up though, it's not just application & products.

LadyKenya · 17/12/2022 16:50

I personally think that she looks attractive without make up. She has a natural beauty, which make up accentuates, which is meant to be the purpose of wearing it, I suppose.

Herejustforthisone · 17/12/2022 16:58

I’d look fucking radiant if I had that much money to spend on how I looked.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 17/12/2022 17:09

She's incredibly rich and beautiful.

GoingOnce · 17/12/2022 17:09

Blimey OP, I think you and Meghan need to get a room, as it were.

PinkPanther57 · 17/12/2022 17:11

I do sound like a superfan :) Not so, although nice to see positivity.

Good genes and ethnic skin doesn't seem to age as quickly as white skin. Although that said, I had gorgeous skin at her age and am still pretty wrinkle free at 52, however, that glow has gone. Doria (megs mum) still looks beautiful and glowy at her age.

discontinueddiva · 17/12/2022 17:23

I agree with you @PinkPanther57
I saw stills from the documentary and thought she looked different when at events, so obviously it's make up.
Her make up artist is fantastic.

That's not to say she is not beautiful, she is.
But the professional make up just gives that extra glow.
