I just want comfortable knickers!

For several years now I have been wearing only ‘Itsebitse’ knickers from Costco. Simple cotton high-legs with smooth, flat elastic. No itchy, irritating lace or trims. But Costco hasn't had them for months and months, and I need new knickers!

Where can I get comfortable knickers that don’t cost ££&£££?

I love Sainsburys own brand ones.
So comfy and snug, and don't lose shape after a few weeks.

Dilbertian · 15/12/2022 23:31

But do they have them with flat elastics and no trims?

Costco do Carole Hochman knickers which are super soft, comfy and full size.

Toastandmarmiteandtea · 15/12/2022 23:33

No trim

I bought big high rise knickers in stretchy lace from Sainsbury’s. They don't even look comfy, but by far beat the comfort of all my tradition comfortable knickers.

I think it's because they are supportive but high so they flatten my tummy that would normally push kickers down into the crease. Comfy days and a better silhouette.

I've worn M&S midis for years but they have stopped doing them so I have been buying randoms to try and find similar. After many purchases I have found Asda midis are actually even better although a rare find in our local store (loads of maxis and hi-legs)
Not flat elastic like the picture but they do lie very flat and are cheap so it's not the end of the world if they are not for you.

I love Boody bikini knickers. They are bamboo, and are seamless including the gusset. They aren't cheap but last forever.

Sloggi but size up. They last forever so even if they cost a little more it evens out over time.

Wirapa

I saw people recommending these on MN and tried them. They came up very, very small and squeezed my belly far too much to be comfortable. I did check the size and reviews first.
I find the problem is that no-one makes proper bum coverage any more. Even full briefs slide up at the sides and eventually the arse.

WhereAreWeNow · 16/12/2022 10:37

Uniqlo do nice plain cotton knickers with no lace. They come in a few different styles (high cut, midi, bikini, hipster). Very comfy.

Dilbertian · 16/12/2022 10:41

Uniqlo - do they come in size 18?

Victoria secrets do some like this

MangoBiscuit · 16/12/2022 10:47

I also tried the Wirarpa ones after seeing them recommended on here. They are so comfy I went back and bought more and now they're the only ones I wear.

Pigtailsandall · 16/12/2022 10:50

JL own brand ones. I have the plain bikini ones, and they are very comfy and keep their shape well. I hate all M&S ones now - the gusset is so narrow! I used to buy them all the time but literally just binned the last pair as they give you a wedgie every time...
