I just want comfortable knickers!

For several years now I have been wearing only ‘Itsebitse’ knickers from Costco. Simple cotton high-legs with smooth, flat elastic. No itchy, irritating lace or trims. But Costco hasn't had them for months and months, and I need new knickers!

Where can I get comfortable knickers that don’t cost ££&£££?

Uniqlo do nice plain cotton knickers with no lace. They come in a few different styles (high cut, midi, bikini, hipster). Very comfy.

Yep, I only wear Uniqlo these days.

Place marking as on the search for perfect knickers

LouisaMayAlcott · 16/12/2022 11:16

Another vote for Innersy at Amazon. Good thick cotton and no scratchy elastic, I am a total convert.

JL own brand ones. I have the plain bikini ones, and they are very comfy and keep their shape well. I hate all M&S ones now - the gusset is so narrow! I used to buy them all the time but literally just binned the last pair as they give you a wedgie every time...

I find the trim comes away easily

They still do midis in packs

woodhill · 16/12/2022 11:20

I mean the M&S high leg shorts trim

sanityisamyth · 16/12/2022 11:22

Snag do amazing knickers 🥰

Pinktruffle · 16/12/2022 11:27

Due to a painful cyst in my groin area (in the hollow where leg becomes pubic area) following doctors advice to not irritate it with clothing, I had to start wearing DH's boxer shorts and I have to admit that for comfort, I'm a total convert and have since bought myself some from Asda... if it's comfort alone you are after, might be worth considering?

FindingMeno · 16/12/2022 11:31

You need the big ones from m&s.
The ones that'll keep your kidneys warm and you would never hang on the washing line 😁

woodhill · 16/12/2022 11:33

I bought some hideous granny M&S pointelle shorts off eBay but they have been great in this weather

M&S Flexifit knickers.

Comme a variety of shapes but link to one here: www.marksandspencer.com/3pk-flexifit-full-briefs/p/clp60486939

Yes love these

Dilbertian · 16/12/2022 11:50

I've almost ordered a set of Innersy. £19.99 - so I need to spend one more penny to get free delivery!

What about the seam in the middle though? May as well wear a thong or string if you find the seam OK. Ouch.
Unless there is a gusset like on the jersey type ones which usually have tighter legs and are hot.

Oh no! No seam. They have a very full gusset and are the jersey type ones. I think they are described as 'A-front'

Pinktruffle · 16/12/2022 12:28

I don't find them hot at all by the way, they are very comfortable, far more than any other underwear I've ever owned. Though might be a bit impractical during your periods if you don't use tampons or a moon cup

TollgateDebs · 16/12/2022 13:56

Try this company, I bought from here recently and am very pleased with these www.sandras-online.co.uk/collections/knickers/products/cotton-lycra-comfort-maxi-briefs-3-pack-1012

discontinueddiva · 17/12/2022 17:34

I just want 100% cotton plain midi knickers in nude from M&S but can't get them. Only that ghastly modal fabric.

Coniferhedge · 17/12/2022 19:06

Another vote for Boody. Most comfortable knickers I’ve ever worn. I get the full briefs. I’m of an age where I prefer them. I call them my ‘harvesters’ - all is safely gathered in. Grin

Stickykidney · 24/08/2023 14:57

Another m and s fan here but have just ordered the Amazon ones the m and s ones take days to dry so will see how the inneky ones are comfort wise thanks all

LadyEloise1 · 24/08/2023 16:01

@Fizzadora
Why did M&S stop doing midis ?

The M&S quality has really
gone

Totally agree. Hated when they changed them.

I bought some wirarpa, very comfortable and I can confirm the gusset is twice the width of my M&S bikini knickers, and they don’t roll down.

I have just ordered some high waisted Brazilian knickers from M&S, sized up so I’ll see what they’re like.

Ginmonkeyagain · 24/08/2023 22:33

@LadyEloise1 M&S midis live on! They just renamed them "high rise shorts", no idea why - the utter knobbers
