Can anyone tell me how they walk so effortlessly in those high skinny spike heels, are they just more comfortable because they are expensive designer shoes or do they have some trick that I don't know about ? I would love to be able to find a way to wear them.

For probably the first time, I think Beatrice looks better than Kate!

Kate looks immaculate as always but the colour is quite dull for her and I am not a fan of the flaps

I wish they'd all ditch the heels. No woman needs to cripple herself these days by wearing such high heels.

@themessygarden - I don't know, but they rarely look good imo, especially with day wear.
I also think they look a bit dated now, Kate's block heeled boots were definitely a better look.

I think they have their place, but not as daywear though.

I wore a lovely cocktail dress recently and the shoes I wore just undid the whole outfit, it would have looked much nicer with a pair of those skinny high heeled pumps, but I know I would not last 5 minutes from the car to the even, so I opted for comfort over style.

There are some gorgeous low heeled/flats for evening wear, @themessygarden .

Couple more Sandringham pics from yesterday. Love Zara's outfit... at the risk of sounding boring (yet again 😆), longer dress/coat lengths and abandoning high necklines recently have made the world of difference. I can't think of a single outfit recently that did not look great on her! Also really like Eugenie's coat... I'm going to be speculative... surely there must be an announcement imminent 🤔 perhaps waiting until all the coverage of various recent events (Carol service, Sussex doc etc) has died down.

Love Kate's hat. Not keen on Zara's outfit - maybe it's the neckline. Sophie's coat is the one we all loved but looks totally different fastened up and with a bare neckline.

The whole thing seemed much more relaxed, there is a lovely vibe between Charles and Cam and Williams family.

Eugenie must be pg, otherwise that coat is very frumpy- only pregnancy can save it.

Sophie's wrap coat is lovely - very Olivia Pope from Scandal - and she looks great. Louise's ensemble is a bit dull for an 18yo and the shoes are hideous. She looks like she has a cold too - maybe she should've stayed home with Aunt Anne! I like Zara's burgundy accessories.

I think Louise's outfit would have been lifted by boots rather than shoes.

Beatrix gets my best-dressed gong, I think she looks great from top to toe. Louise is in an outfit entirely borrowed from her mother, which makes perfect sense - she’d have no need of such outfits in her university student wardrobe and Sophie clearly has a large archive she can use - but does mean she looks like she’s dressing far too old for her years (Savannah was also wearing a coat that belongs to her mum Autumn, but it was not such an obviously conservative piece).

My favourite Kate Sandringham look was from a few years ago - tweedy coat with a (fake, I hope) fur collar. I'd like this year's coat better without the flaps!
