Any interest in a opening/review thread?

I tend to open early.
No photos until after 0700?

Very nice one this morning. I remembered when I opened the drawer that both products were in the calendar but assumed they’d be separate days. Nice that they are both in one.

Roundaboot · 12/12/2022 07:44

Yes, really nice to get both together in pack like that. I love this fragrance - very happy with today's!

PomRuns · 12/12/2022 07:44

One of my favourite perfumes.
Absolute win for me.

Wonderful one for me too. This calendar is really great!

BeverleyMacca1 · 12/12/2022 07:51

Ooh loving today’s offering. This was a main 24th prize a couple of years ago! Slightly different, I still have the wrapped soap from that one!

Chickydoo · 12/12/2022 08:49

I love this! The perfume is gorgeous

Adventadventures · 12/12/2022 09:19

Mmm I thought this was more masculine so had earmarked it as a stocking filler for my twenty four year old son before opening but everyone so far seems to love it .
Is it for Men as well do you think or too feminine?
would it be appropriate for a twenty four year old ?
I must admit I don’t know the brand very well

PomRuns · 12/12/2022 09:32

@Adventadventures I think they say unisex I personally love it, feel it’s quite feminine (are we allowed to say that now?!) reminds me of holidays.

Oh is it not a man’s cologne then?

Dailymash · 12/12/2022 10:47

Apologies for not updating yesterday! Our Murad Exfoliating Cleanser is worth £14 and todays beautiful Acqua Di Parma set is £25 which takes our total to £246.

Chickydoo · 12/12/2022 11:44

@RosettaStormer that is a really good idea about the 24 yr olds Christmas stocking. I am torn now as I love it myself, DS would love it too. I guess as I am putting the Charlotte T in to my DD's I should add this to DS....

pattyparsnip · 12/12/2022 11:49

I'm liking this perfume wasn't so sure when I first put it on ,but I keep catching a whiff now it's settled and it's really lovely.

Roundaboot · 12/12/2022 12:52

It really reminds me of something that ny Granny used. I don't think she wore perfume so it must have been a soap or bubble bath.

BeverleyMacca1 · 12/12/2022 13:21

Acqua Di Parma is marketed for both men and women. I’ve worn it for ages.

Itsabeautifuldaytosavelives123 · 12/12/2022 16:04

I sprayed it on me and thought it was a male scent, I had to check. Will be putting it in my son’s a stocking I think, and hope he doesn’t think it’s feminine 🤣

Talisin · 13/12/2022 06:44

Today’s falls in the not interesting but always useful category I think.

Mrcpy · 13/12/2022 06:56

@Talisin I agree, I have plenty of hand creams to get through. I’ll be saving this up and looking forward to using it in a few months time. (Unless someone posts that it’s astoundingly good, in which case I’ll break it open today!)

pattyparsnip · 13/12/2022 07:09

Yeah I can't get excited over hand cream , I've used this before it's good and I like the smell .

Peridot1 · 13/12/2022 07:20

Agree it’s not a particularly exciting one but a good handcream and the smell always reminds me of a good friend as she loves it. I really should make more of an effort with handcream.

Stoic123 · 13/12/2022 08:02

Used once before and it's a pretty decent handcream. I'll add it to the stash and use it at some point.

Agree not very exciting but a reasonable item for JL to include.

PomRuns · 13/12/2022 09:18

Agree with all comments above, it's a good staple.

A good hand cream. I get horribly dry hands and peeling nails this time of year and this stuff does work well

Adventadventures · 13/12/2022 10:30

Yeah happy with this wish it was bigger but looking forward to using

MyOtherCarIsAHearse · 13/12/2022 11:04

This seems good. I’ve never actually used Clarins which is odd considering how much beauty stuff I buy. So I’m looking forward to it.

Roundaboot · 13/12/2022 11:19

I have to say, my skin feels bloody amazing just now! I'm not sure if it's the Elemis serum or Sunday Riley cream (those are the two products I've been using consistently) That's always the trouble I have with advent calendars - I use everything at once and then I'm never sure what's good/bad for my skin!
