General beauty advent calendar opening thread - all welcome

As in previous years, this is a thread for all those opening beauty advent calendars not covered by specific threads, though happy for any to be posted here too. We’d also love to hear about other non-beauty calendars.

Only one ask please, do not disclose contents of calendars before 7am on the relevant day.

I’ll be opening the Liberty and Fortnum and Mason calendars. Possibly also Latest in Beauty, assuming it arrives on time.

Only two sleeps to go - looking forward to it!

I've just bought a Nuxe gift set on offer (for myself 😆) with the florale oil in it @AnnieSnap its gorgeous!

I had never come across the brand until last year’s M&S AC in which this very oil was included. I loved it and bought some more 🙂

I think it’s a really great drawer number 1 for Liberty. I’m going to try the Sunday Riley tomorrow for work…here’s hoping it can counteract the pre 6am start 😬

Not seen a Selfridges thread but I got a Mac lipstick in a avant garnet, I e already given it my mum and she's given me her ren cream from M&S

It’s a beautiful colour but I’m not a lipstick person and stupidly tried it on anyway. And now I can’t give it away, how wasteful!

I gave my dark red MAC lipstick away and suits the person very well. She was happy.

ByTerry AC here, complete spur of the moment splurge.

No. 1 was a full size mascara.

I normally only ever use tubing mascara to avoid any smudging.

Tried it out today, a bit smudgy under the eyes by the end of the day but such a good mascara that I might stick with it and just deal with smudges when they happen.

Must remember to use make up remover at bedtime,band not try to wash it off!!!

Just opened No 2 of the M&S (I am ahead of the UK) very pleased with the 'product' and I like the 'brand' so all good!

@AnnieSnap @LookdeepintotheAdvent Please could I ask how you use the Nuxe oil? I've got two now, one from the M&S advent calendar last year and one from a GWP and I don't know what to do with them/how to use them? They're sitting in my stash drawer looking forlornly at me every time I go in there.

Late joiner. I got the Elle beauty one advent calendar.
Yesterday was mutha no 1 serum. Nice texture and felt very nourishing but not a great smell. Loved how nice my skin felt after so may try to persevere all though at £105 for a full size (I got 15ml) I prob won't be affording to buy it. Unless it makes me look 30 again 🤣
Today I got a mini Bobbi brown eyeshadow stick in a golden bronze colour. Swatched it and it's not budging so will be trying it today as having a girls day shopping in Lincoln and visiting Lincoln market.
I love been able to try all of these new products

I had one from the M&S summer bag and used it on my hands when they were really chapped, and also rubbed it onto my husband as a massage oil

Hi everyone, I got an almond shower oil in my L'occitane calendar today. It's one of my faves, it smells divine. This is my first ever beauty advent calendar, very exciting. Great start :)

I have l'occitane too and loving it!

That shower oil is one of my all time favourites. It lathers up beautifully ❤️

L’Occitane Precious Crème this morning. I’m saving that, the almond shower oil and whatever tomorrow’s is for getting ready for a party tomorrow night. The AC box is so beautiful it’s a treat to wake up to it by my bed before even opening it!

@bigdecisionstomake - the Nuxe oil is nice just as a body oil. And if your hair is a bit dry on the ends you can use a very small amount. It can also be used as a face oil.

Joining in! I have the ASOS one which I’m sharing with DD. Off to a strong start with Max lipstick yesterday which she nabbed, and Elemis night cream today which she passed over as it was anti wrinkle 😁

I also have the M&S one which I’m saving for Jadvent, I’ve had it a few times before so I think I probably know what’s in it.

I’ve had the Occitane one before and it’s very nice, that shower oil and precious cream are both lovely.

My LiB calendar arrived yesterday afternoon, so I’m now opening all three. I was very pleased with the day one LiB moisturiser. Day 2 is a bit more functional from all 3:

LiB is a full size Olaplex 3. I use this regularly and find now that my hair is longer it only lasts a few washes, so pleased with this.

F&M is a small Noble Isle shower gel and body cream. Not the most exciting, but they are still things I’ll very happily use. The scent is Williow Song which I haven’t tried before.

Liberty is the Davines hair oil. Not on a par with a great day 1, but again very usable.

I’m really enjoying reading about the wide range of calendars being opened. @CeeCeeDeeBee I also like the La Mer cream, but fail to understand its ridiculous RRP. I’m always happy to get a sample though. And the L’Occitane cream is lovely too.

@Snoopsnoggysnog luckily your DD doesn’t know what she is missing - enjoy the Elemis cream!
