General beauty advent calendar opening thread - all welcome

As in previous years, this is a thread for all those opening beauty advent calendars not covered by specific threads, though happy for any to be posted here too. We’d also love to hear about other non-beauty calendars.

Only one ask please, do not disclose contents of calendars before 7am on the relevant day.

I’ll be opening the Liberty and Fortnum and Mason calendars. Possibly also Latest in Beauty, assuming it arrives on time.

Only two sleeps to go - looking forward to it!

Just checking in with my JL! I’ve followed the other threads religiously though I haven’t posted much. Proud that I’ve resisted the urge to buy a second one, despite the discounts. Always enjoy being tempted though ;)

Does anyone else have Harvey Nichols? I know it got flack for having treatments as part of the 'value', but I've got a store in my nearest town and I really like treatments.

I've got Harvey Nichols. I love treatments too and plan on using them all. I've already done one of them!

Welcome everyone. It looks like we’ll have a great mix of calendar contents to share and I’m looking forward to it all starting tomorrow.

My LiB is now due for delivery on the 3rd, so I’ll be opening it from then.

@CeeCeeDeeBee I also seriously considered HN, which I thought was quite different to the rest, and I also would have been able to use the treatments. I decided I preferred Liberty in the end, but it will be lovely to hear about the contents.

May I join in too? I have a homemade calendar done in last year's Fortnum's calendar box including some of the contents

I did it in August so I've forgotten virtually everything about it although at least one drawer has an eyebrow pencil with a Snickers or something similar 😀

I've bought a load of things that I like out of the other advent calendars and will place them into last year's Liberty calendar. I've almost forgotten most of what I've bought luckily. LiB en route apparently.

I have the M&S one (courtesy of a stellar MIL as we're skint this year due to my ill health requiring a work hiatus) Will be following this thread. Is there a dedicated one for the M&S calendar like there was last year does anyone know?

I don’t think I will cut the mustard for openings. I have made my mum one and will be setting it up via pegs,coloured envelopes and fairy lights when she has gone to bed!

I have flannels and waiting on Selfridges. My first year with having a calendar since I was a kid so really excited to join in this thread!

DH & DS have refilled an old M&S calendar from the last couple of month’s TOYL and Look Fantastic boxes.

My lovely friend bought me the M&S one. I’m ystally a Cadbury’s kinda gal, so will be nice to have more of a treat this year (although will still need daily chocolate!).

My Elle calendar just arrived - very happy to have received it before 1st dec, didn’t think it would make it as I ordered so late. Excited to get to join in on the thread!

I’m on my second JL calendar (🙈), plus I have the M&S. Teen DD has last year’s Ultimate Body Shop AC, via Brandalley. DD2 (6) is thrilled to have a £2 Cadbury’s calendar from Poundland! 😅

Fab! Nice to have someone to compare notes with. I liked most of last year and the packaging this year is much nicer

I can’t believe we are finally almost here. I have dusted down my JL advent and moved it downstairs all ready for first unboxing tomorrow.
I also have LIB in transit but not planning on unboxing this until June when I will have hopefully used up most of JL’s contents.
Resolution is to actually use the products this year instead of saving them for special occasions which never happen
Looking forward to hearing what everyone gets tomorrow and what they think
