just read the word cropped and I thought that’s it.

Maybe second place is high-rise.

I am probably talking to the wrong people as a not very stylish and not very beautiful person, but I hate all the jargon that I feel I'm supposed to know what it means.

Ponte
Jaquard
Borg

I know there's more... They just start appearing as if I'm supposed to understand!

This made me laugh! 😂

So true. Every season there is a new language you must magically understand.

Also stupid word mash ups.

Shacket.
Midaxi.
Coatigan.

Anything which is sized S M L etc. Lazy. Put a proper dress size on it (especially as 14 seems to be XXL nowadays)

Yes!!

But vegan leather doesn’t exist. It’s just plastic. Why not say plastic?

liveforsummer · 07/11/2022 20:16

Won't stop me buying but why is everything in a 'colour way' these days instead of just stating the colour - we know the context even if you di want to use colour what's with the extra word?

VisitingThem · 07/11/2022 20:16

Skinny!

RaininSummer · 07/11/2022 20:17

Wrap as in wrap dress. Another way of saying your boobs will be on display when least expected

Ditsy.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 07/11/2022 20:22

I can explain colourway,

It was initially used to describe an item that came in different colours. But sometimes there was more than one colour on an item, say a grey top with white sleeves. So they became known as colourways.

Then items in solid blocks of colour just became known as colourways. Colour describes the hue, colourway describes the different ways of colour.

Does this make sense?🤯

A580Hojas · 07/11/2022 20:23

Oh God yes, ditsy or hotch potch or floral.
