just read the word cropped and I thought that’s it.

Maybe second place is high-rise.

M&S acrylic knitwear is great. Doesn't look cheap and washes well.

RampantIvy · 09/11/2022 13:25

Yes. I love their supersoft jumpers.

Really? Love the colors but I imagined they would bobble or itch.

KirstenBlest · 09/11/2022 13:45

No, they're fine. They're not warm like wool, but they aren't going to get eaten by moths or shrink in the wash. Mine are a few years old and some of them do look like wool.

Lentilweaver · 09/11/2022 13:48

thanks. Am on the Tube a lot so prefer a light layer.

Buttery soft in relation to leather.

Whilst I'm sure the product itself is probably lovely it just sounds so fucking wanky.

God yes, both ridiculous and strangely nauseating. See also 'crisp' white shirt 🤮

No they don't. The worst jumper I had for bobbling was a Seasalt merino jumper.

I have a couple of the M an S supersoft jumpers, one of which I bought about 4 years ago. I have worn it loads and it isn't itchy or bobbly at all. They come in a wide range of colours.

Wool
Polyester
Cashmere

What's wrong with wool and cashmere?

RampantIvy · 09/11/2022 16:36

Some people find it irritates their skin @RainyDaysareCarp. Also, cashmere has to be handwashed to stay at its best.

notmyrealmoniker · 09/11/2022 22:24

Pure whole...scratch beyond belief, even the softest wool. My skin hates wool.

notmyrealmoniker · 09/11/2022 22:25

Wool, not whole

cinnabongene · 09/11/2022 22:27

A lot of cashmere now you can machine wash on a delicate or wool cycle. They come out as good as new - just don’t use fabrics softener

Floisme · 10/11/2022 10:47

Currently mine is 'comfy'. With the exception of new shoes, I expect all clothes to be comfortable as a matter of course so, if it's the first or only thing that's to be said in favour then I'm afraid I assume it's going to look like shit.

I am now logging off S&B for a while Grin

KirstenBlest · 10/11/2022 15:08

I tend to hear 'comfortable' in terms of shoes as meaning ugly

Sadly, I can only wear "comfortable" shoes - thank you osteoarthritis Sad
I am always looking for the holy grail of stylish yet comfortable footwear.

KirstenBlest · 10/11/2022 16:28

I only wear comfortable shoes too, @RampantIvy , but if someone says my shoes look comfortable, I take it to mean they aren't pretty.
What brands do you find you like wearing?

xPeaceX · 10/11/2022 16:30

Ha ha I suppose it does mean ugly, but I say THANKYOU!!

RampantIvy · 10/11/2022 16:42

@KirstenBlest Skechers, Rieker and Pavers mostly. I also have some surprisingly comfortable ballet flats from Wynsors, and a pair of really comfy Nike trainers.
