Thank you for this thread! Where would you suggest for cashmere jumpers, good quality, I'm thinking classic but with a twist?

@Bumblebeefriend love this style from M&S

Me&Em also have some slightly different styles www.meandem.com/merino-cashmere-colour-block-jumper-snood-navy-mustard-chestnut-mushroom

And I'd recommend Boden for lots of lovely stripes and gorgeous colour ways and Cos for interesting shapes

@faffadoodledo Zara do this so well. This style is great as it's not too oversized and their tailoring is spot on for the price

@marlowe5 have a look at this article. Lots of different options and the model is 5'2 so good for you to compare

@frillseeking - what coat would you recommend for a 5 foot 3 inch jewelled winter hourglass please?

Floydthedemonbarber · 05/11/2022 09:25

I'm really enjoying wider leg jeans and trousers again but don't know what to wear with them in winter. Teenager me just worse Doc Martens or Vans and let them soak up the puddles! My wider leg jeans are a bit shorter and neater than that now but I just don't know what footwear (other than docs and trainers) go well with them.

Moltenpink · 05/11/2022 16:05

Thank you so much! I love the navy and silver combo. That LK Bennett dress is gorgeous, really similar to a Part Two dress that Stitchfix sent me, but I returned as I didn’t think I’d have an occasion to wear it 🤦‍♀️

Ironfloor269 · 05/11/2022 16:17

How do you smarten up a pair of navy blue leather converse high tops, please? Thank you.

Reearry · 05/11/2022 16:32

Thank you for doing this. Can you recommend a good black evening bag?

Lots of people asking about wide legs. I agree they're difficult to style and footwear options can be tricky to get right. The wrong shoe choice can quickly turn a good outfit into a terrible one and a quick look online proves that many retailers have no idea how to show off their wide leg styles and lots of awful footwear choices abound. I've attached some inspo board to show how best to wear them. These can apply to both jeans and trousers.

And if you're looking to create height and lengthen the leg as much as possible, a boot in the same colour will elongate (whereas a contrast will break the leg up and shorten the overall appearance) and a platform trainer is also a clever way to add some elevation

@Moltenpink I'm loving the navy and silver combo too! I don't have an occasion for it but I keep looking and thinking hmm I really love that look! Hope you find something for your event

I have a colour/style question!

I bought these midnight blue velvet boots recently which look great with these tights but I can’t think what colour dress to wear on top. Black doesn’t really work with the midnight blue. Any suggestions?

I am in my 40s and size 14, medium height.

Any Xmas party/ event request?

Ooh me please!

Size 10, love a mini dress as feel confident with my legs on show.

But sometimes get a bloated tummy when I'm eating out so would love a mini dress / mini skirt and top (big fan of co-ords) that will look great but also allow for some potential bloating!

Thanks in advance Smile

frillseeking · 06/11/2022 08:06

@monsteramunch I love this gold lurex mango style. The knot detail hides the tummy area but shows plenty of leg and looks so much more expensive than £30! Zara do the draped mini dress style so well too, there are so many variations on their site but I love the satin look for party season and love the full on glamour of the sequin style from dancing leopard for full on party bling!
