Another dressing gown one!

My searches are not coming up with anything that fits the bill on this.

Seeking a longer length, cosy-warm but not nylony, dressing gown for women that goes to mid calf. Not knee length or just under the knee - and comes in plain blue/navy plus other colours, definitely not pink / flowery or 'granny'.

Bonus points if it's under £40 and double bonus points if it comes in both petite and standard fits. (Looking for one for both mother and daughter, in different colours - a standard longer length could drown the shorter person!)

Its That Unicorn, isn't it?!

Look on Amazon, search 'long dressing gowns women uk'

MoaningMaude · 12/10/2022 16:40

Over budget but this is cosy and warm, it is long but I'm only just 5ft 2 and it above ankles but it washes well, tumbles well and comes out all soft and lovely and it now several years old but they last forever. https://www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Hooded-Velour-Robe-/p/HVCRO?swatch=Storm+Grey

I've bought myself this from Dunelm. Love it.

It is fleece, not sure if that's what you mean by "nylony"? If so, then it's prob not the one for you!

Very very cosy, and being men's, feels lovely and roomy.

Next or Primark.
I have 7.

Talipesmum · 12/10/2022 17:25

I’ve got this one in dark purple

The brand make different styles so you might be able to get this long one and another from the same company in a shorter style?

its v warm and cosy and light. Love mine.

Check out Tu, menswear section and I bought this for the Hubster. tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/Navy-Chevron-Shawl-Dressing-Gown/140737768-Navy?searchTerm=:newArrivals&searchProduct=

TollgateDebs · 12/10/2022 20:40

Forgot to say, I wear it too, 5'5", it comes to mid calf and very toasty /within your budget.

dudsville · 12/10/2022 20:47

I also buy a men's one. I choose 100% cotton, brushed. You could always shorten the sleeves and hemline if you wanted. I get mine from Saville Row, sounds fancy but they're about £20

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/10/2022 20:49

Thanks @Talipesmum I've ordered that for my DD (tall 5'8")
I put the dark grey in the basket then asked her what colour she'd like , she said 'dark grey'
Result Xmas Grin

Ah excellent! Hope she likes it. As soon as the weather started getting chilly a few weeks ago, I remembered about my lovely new dressing gown and have been merrily wearing it ever since!

FireandBrimstone · 12/10/2022 21:33

@TollgateDebs that's really nice too and good to know about the fit on you. Thanks

I've got a seriously warm Lands end fleece one which is older than my children. The current version is £26 and is black and white check
