Ooh I like CPM's jumpsuit, colour and fit.
Liked Kate's red coat and her boots too.

Should have left it to @667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast!

😂😈

Thank you NiqueNique ❤️

Mary and Josephine getting ready for today’s Hubertus Hunt (not an actual hunt) at the Deer Park. One of my favourite places at home, and now I’m homesick!!

They look absolutely gorgeous. Love that look on Mary from head to toe!

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 12:46

Yes I love it too. That look really suits her and she does it very well every time. Kate and Mary both look great in country casual/‘very county’.

KillingMeDeftly · 06/11/2022 12:53

Which I always find amusing @NiqueNique as neither are from "country" backgrounds!

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 12:56

True enough although I think it would have been something Kate has been around since she was little given the schools she went to. Mary also had a horse and loved riding when she was younger so I guess she has some experience of some aspects, and she’s certainly always been very outdoorsy and sporty which helps. They do both clearly have the country dressing instinct. Tbf it’s not that hard to do it well if you stick to a good formula...

Eaumyword · 06/11/2022 13:24

I wasn't going to to there but I'm so glad you did @NiqueNique - that look is as 'county' as it gets!😂
Double forest green and brown gilets and jackets would just about make my DM expire with sheer joy 😂😂
It's a great look as it's waterproof, warm, layered to take off if you get hot and nothing is too heavy. I particularly love CPM's trousers.

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 13:34

Yes it’s ultimate county! Makes me want to rush out to buy yet more autumn/winter attire! Will have to wait for sales. 😭

I especially love the hat and the trousers are great too.

What Mary tends to do better than Kate is not to be too prescriptive (even though it’s a very formulaic look) - a navy blue hat looks much better here than olive green or brown would, and the gloves don’t match.

Eaumyword · 06/11/2022 13:41

Totally agree - the navy hat just adds a chic-ness to the overall look and breaks up up the green/beige.

RomainingCalm · 06/11/2022 13:43

Mary and Josephine look fabulous, I too love the navy hat.

KillingMeDeftly · 06/11/2022 13:53

I don't know @NiqueNique, I think both Kate and Mary have reinvented themselves as county types. Both used to be city girls who liked to party! Mary has definitely rewritten her history considerably. From Sydney PR girl/estate agent to Lady Bountiful!

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 14:02

Oh no I’m not saying they lived the country thing authentically by any means...just that Kate certainly would likely have an instinct for it. And Mary grew up on Tasmania which isn’t ‘big city’ AFAIK.

Doesn't make any difference to me, tbh. I’m just here for the clothing!

gluenotsoup · 06/11/2022 14:06

Love Mary’s clothes there… all of them♥️

NiqueNique · 06/11/2022 14:09

(Although I do really find Mary a little too much these days...)

gluenotsoup · 06/11/2022 15:31

( sometimes I do too…. Just a bit🤫)

KillingMeDeftly · 06/11/2022 15:35

Was it the 101 birthday parties that did it?? Grin

gluenotsoup · 06/11/2022 15:47

Maybe…😂

You are bold @KillingMeDeftly !!!

KillingMeDeftly · 06/11/2022 19:37

Is that "bold" the way the Irish use it? I remember my parents had friends from Cork who'd always say "you are bold"!

Maireas · 06/11/2022 21:57

That's what the nuns would say to us at school "you're a bold girl, Veronica O'Connell"! Meaning naughty!

Yes 😀

KillingMeDeftly · 07/11/2022 18:35

There's going to be a royal wedding next spring as Alexandra of Luxembourg (aunt to our adorable thread mascot) has just gotten engaged.
