SOTE Kayali Amber - I quite like this one, maybe even more than Vanilla. It is very cosy and comforting. For some reason, Vanilla doesn't seem to last on me longer than 2h. How lasting is it for you?

Extremely lasting.dh can still smell it when I get back from work. It obviously dies down a bit

DeepDown12 · 23/10/2022 20:57

@xalo I have L'air de Rien and I love it.

I also have Le Cedre... when I bought it I thought it was quite unisex, but in all honesty I do find it way to masculine for me so I passed it onto my husband.

DeepDown12 · 23/10/2022 20:58

@lentilly - I'll test it again tomorrow... I tried it yesterday and couldn't smell it anymore after 2h.

xalo · 23/10/2022 22:23

@DeepDown12
Thanks!
I used one small spray of L'air de Rien this morning and it's lasted all day which was a surprise. I really like it.

Sotd pp mmm by the fireplace

Pigeon31 · 24/10/2022 16:15

Sotd: couple of spritzes of acqua di.parma magnolia infinity from the duty free shop (gorgeous creamy white florals but out of my price range 😀)

Just come back from a long weekend in Rome, which was lovely. Would love to find a fragrance with similar aromatic/bitter orange profile to aperol spritz if anyone has suggestions?

CorneliaStreet · 25/10/2022 14:12

SOTD To the Fairest Cecile.

There’s a tempting GWP offer at Harvey Nichols (Rewards) set of fragrance samples with £125 spend. Decent sizes.

I’d like to try the Escentric Molecules, Jo Loves and Estée Lauder but haven’t heard of most of the others. Any thoughts on any of these? I tend to like citrus and floral scents but am fairly new to all this so happy to try anything promising.

Caroline Herrera Good Girl EDO [7ml]
Chantecaille Petales [2ml]
Escentric Molecule Molecule M+Iris [8.5ml]
Estee Lauder Infinite Sky EDP [4ml]
Fragrance du Bois Cavort [7ml]
Hermetica Verticloud [10ml]
Jo Loves Pomelo EDP [10ml]
Juliette has a Gun Ego Stratis [5ml]
Maison Crivelli Santal Volcanique [5ml]
Nishane Time Capsule Collection [10ml]
Sisley Izia la Nuit [6.5ml]
Valmont Palazzo Nobile Blooming Ballet [8.5ml]

CorneliaStreet · 25/10/2022 15:06

Hi @LemonAndLimeTree.

I’ve only tried a couple of those. EL Infinite Sky is very peppery to my nose, not for me but if you like pink pepper fragrances then you’d probably like it. The Jo Loves Pomelo has a lovely citrus opening but that doesn’t last very long and in the dry down all I get is vetiver, which always smells quite aftershave-like to me. It is very nice though.

I think Good Girl is supposed to be very sweet. I’ve heard the Molecule Iris is very nice. I haven’t tried that one but do have the Molecule Mandarin one which is really lovely, so I’d like to try the others.

LemonAndLimeTree · 25/10/2022 15:59

Thanks @CorneliaStreet that’s interesting. I might just plan a trip to HN and try some testers. EM Mandarin sounds one to try.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 25/10/2022 17:21

I lost you all there - hope everyone is going okay. SOTD MH LDR, and yesterday was Byredo Bibliotheque.

Escentual November box now available

Its oud this month

Mrcpy · 26/10/2022 14:39

I’m not sure whether to try the Oud box. I don’t really like oud but it might be a good educational experience?

I've decided to.

I can spend the pretty pennies on a treat for Xmas 😃

CorneliaStreet · 26/10/2022 16:30

I’m going to skip the oud box. I’ve had a few oud fragrances in various Perfume Society boxes and haven’t really got on with them.

SOTD is Jo Loves White Rose and Lemon Leaves. A bit too much lemon for me, lemon too often ends up smelling of cleaning products on me.

Noeggsontoast · 26/10/2022 17:53

SOTD Tom Ford Velvet Orchid

ThreeImaginaryBoys · 26/10/2022 20:52

SOTD Euphoria Liquid Gold. Really can't make my mind up about this one. Most of the time I think it's too sweet and generic, then sometimes I think there's something more to it.

I'm also skipping the Oud box. I have too many new perfumes to try as it is, and I find Oud a bit polarising.

Mrcpy · 27/10/2022 08:32

Does anyone know what the December box will be?

Pigeon31 · 27/10/2022 13:25

December's is musk

I haven't decided about the Oud yet, but it has been fun this month with the spices

ThreeImaginaryBoys · 27/10/2022 13:54

My PP Kayali Vanilla has arrived! So that's my SOTD.

It's less sickly and more comforting than I thought it would be. Let's see how the day goes!
