SOTE was Aromatics Elixir - suitably dark and thick for watching halloween-y Strictly. The costumes were very good. 🎃

SOTD was Standing Stones 4160 Tuesdays, a cold Frankincense scent.
Got a lovely Autumn candle burning from a local shop, it's full of gingerbread spice.
The Oud box arrived yesterday, I usually find it quite over powering but was curious about their selection. Lavender is the one I'm really looking forward to.

About to have a shower with campfire marshmallow soap and layer with body creme so probably won't need a sotd!

I can't find the recipe I was going to use for lunch so I'm in a temper 😡

Decided on kayali vanilla 😋

SOTD is Mon Guerlain. I’ve been away for a few days and only took a sample set from Jo Loves with me as it had been sitting around for a while and I thought I’d better actually try wearing them. Ended up not really liking any of them, so it’s good to be back home and able to wear some perfume I actually enjoy wearing 🙂

Coffee-fied Captured by Candlelight sounds inspired @Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton I bet the coffee'll add a gorgeous warm darkness. That willl definitely smell amazing.

SOTD is Jungle L'Elephant, again. Had the most awful migraine today, and couldn't bring myself to choose a spooky scent. This is suitably spiced for Halloween and will more than do. Happy Halloween everyone!

The trees and parks around here are looking glorious - 101 different shades of brown, gold and red. Very picturesque. I love autumn! 🍂

SOTD was Shazam, first for getting my Covid booster shot, then jumping around on beds in town to find a new mattress. This must be my third time looking, but still haven't found something that gives out 'aaahhh, I can't wait to get into bed' vibes.

Was very excited to see the shops dressing their Christmas windows while walking through though. Must have been there at the right time, as at least eight stores had assistants up ladders with sparkly things in their hands. It's very nearly that time of year!

SOTN is Amber Absolute. I'm watching Christmas cookery programmes!

I've started reading Nigel Slaters Christmas Chronicles again :)

Thank you for reminding me! @Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton I got Christmas Chronicles last year, but didn't finish it, so will start again from the beginning tomorrow. Reading little chunks each day will be something small to look forward to.

I love the Christmas Chronicles. I know when I’m starting to get in the Christmas mood each year when I suddenly get the urge to get that and Nigella Christmas out. I can tell that’s going to happen very soon - we lit the log burner for the first time last night and I bought some lebkuchen the other day, so I’m definitely starting to feel wintery!

My customised CbyC had arrived...its SO good!

I love lebkuchen also @CorneliaStreet - there was one year when Aldi had some chocolate covered lebkuchen bites, but they haven't had those in the last couple of years (alas) so one must make do :) :)

sotd: shay and blue blood orange. This is exactly what I hoped it would be like - I should layer it with one of the leftover spice box samples next time to get some spicy orange festive vibes!

@Pigeon31 I've no idea if they'll be similar or not, but I saw some chocolate covered Lebkuchen in Lidl the other day. I only know because I was looking for the non-chocolate version (I can never resist spiced Christmassy things ). This was the edge of London though, not sure if they'll be everywhere.

I got my lebkuchen in Lidl, it was a mixed bag with half glazed and half chocolate covered 🙂
