Can someone remind me of the best moth spray for our lovely Toast knits please. I am sure one was mentioned upthread.

The Japanese trousers have arrived and I'm not sure I am feeling the love...are they a bit too PJ like? Can I make them work with a cosy black jumper? Who has them and has made them work?

Hi @ToastCosILoveIt, i have them and don't think they look like pjs on me but i might be delusional. I wear them in the warmer weather with loose tops, weirdest or most fun combo was with the lys top, so not particularly trying to match colour or pattern.

My gauzy check raglan arrived today. I love it, it's an even thinner material than the lys, perfect for layering and sumners.

Poo! ... really disappointed with the Luna dress. Just a bit too tight on the bust . Lovely though.. And I could have ordered a larger one at the time too .....😪
Ahh well..

@Countmeout - I actually think my twill gabis are a bit longer than the pear cords

@Laska2Meryls - that's a shame about your ebay thing. Can you not track the item? I never send anything untrackable - that way no-one can make problems

No ot was me buying, and from a business which sells on ebay.. apparently the courier has said they delivered, it to me but they didnt, snd the date they said they did was 2 days before I got the dispatch notice.. but sadly I have been ruled against by evay and just heard today that my PayPal claim has also been refused because 'the courier says its been delivered!'😡.. so nothing I can do, . Grrrrrr..

And I can't prove it hasnt !!

@ToastCosILoveIt , I always use Acana products; the fabric spray, plus the drawer sachets and wardrobe hangers. You can buy Acana from JL or Amazon. I have just done my wardrobe and cupboard clear out (my heart is always in my mouth checking my precious knits for moth holes, but so far, the Acana products seem to be doing the trick.)

I’m really happy with the black wool twill pleated trousers I ordered instead of my cancelled Jude check trousers. I’m not sure which Toast generation they are (probably old) but the fabric is absolutely glorious, the fit at the waist is neat but comfortable and the legs are cropped and wide so they look great with my black Fracap boots and my Solovairs. They arrived and I took them out of the packaging, put them on and went out. They’re a stealth pair of trousers; secretly luxurious but fabulously understated.

Laksa, is your Luna dress a 14 then? If di and you haven't returned I'd be interested in buying it from you. Pm me if this appeals? Thanks.

Oh no! Sorry its gone back ! Duh! It may appear in the next sale though? ..(. I am 36e bust and it was justa little too snug .. , Toast sizes, you never really know)

The last parcel I ordered turned up today. The first one is still in Swansea! Just the oat linen trousers in today’s parcel. Not sure if they are keepers, they might be a bit baggy on the bum, I need to try them again. I also find it so hard to judge whether I will wear something that is currently so out of season when the right weather comes around again.

@dudsville Which solovair shoes did you get? I've been eyeing the edith lace ups for months now- but wouldn't mind a reason not to get them...

Also, people! Post photos! I can't be the only one who doesn't remember every toast item by name (or am I?!)

The solovair weren't the edith lace ups, which i agree are fab, these were black monk strap. I'll look for a pic.

My DD1 has these for her school shoes. She has had them for two years now and they still look pristine. DD1 is usually a shoe killer.

@dudsville Thank you 😂That's a lovely top! I did also see the black monk straps and was tempted. Interesting to hear they use different leather on different shoes- I assumed it would all be the same.

Anyway, is anyone else tired of these very short sales?
I know scarcity drives impulsivity and that's good for sale numbers, but I imagine half the purchases get returned as they were bought without thinking, or because they were double ups in a different size, as there's no time to exchange.

Seems wasteful/inefficient and I hate that they create this sense of artificial haste.

But hey, I'm probably just bummed because I missed out on some things that I'll to wait another few months to try and buy...

I've tried searching and found a thread - @neveradullmoment99 , @georgiesgirl, but I'm eyeing up the Ava monkey boots in black but am wondering how to style them please.

I wear mine quite a lot. I am happy wearing them with both dresses and trousers.
I think they look good with most dresses especially long ones. Not so keen with calf length dresses. Above the knee and ankle length are just about right dress or skirt wise. For trousers, They look good with culottes or wide legs. I tend to wear them with bootcut jeans/flares too.
I do find that they hurt my ankle bone. So can't wear them too much. I have dr martens church boots in black that are very similar and I wear them constantly as described above. They also look good with 3/4 length trousers.

I wear my dr martens church all the time, not the solovair.

Another parcel turned up! No warning. Found it when I opened the door to put the Christmas tree lights on.
In it is the fern dress and a wheat bag . I love this dress it’s the same as the falling leaves. A bit indulgent to keep it as I definitely don’t need a dress but I don’t think I can let it go.
I sent back the yolk alpaca jumper. Too heavy and hairy for me and just that bit too big in my normal size.
kept the fine line shirt although it’s a bit shepherdessy .

Does anyone else still have anything stuck in Swansea? I’m just wondering at what point I should give up on it ever arriving. It has been there since last Monday, ordered on the Sunday night and I paid for 24 hour as opposed to 48 hour delivery. I’ll be sad if the items in that order are lost (seed check shirt, seersucker shirt, neat cashmere wool sweater).

Yes @ScottishMouse - I'm waiting on 2 parcels, one still in Swansea that was ordered in the first few hours of the sale, and one that I ordered the following day has apparently (only of 2 days ago) been despatched but is still not showing on the tracking!

I just got a notification that another parcel is coming this morning. Everything is still showing as being in Swansea though. So I wouldn’t give up hope @ScottishMouse .
