To ask on what occasions you wear lipstick and do you touch up during the day?

Super frivolous Friday chat.
I love lipsticks but fon’t wear them as often as I’d like to. I always put it on during the weekend but, when I am at work, I usually avoid it as I end up drinking coffee/tea and don’t have access to a mirror all the time to check it’s still in place and not on my teeth etc so I find it more practical not to use it. I’d love to though!
I am just curious to know what others lipstick habits are!

Also, what is your go to shade?

I wear lipstick every day and only reapply after lunch.

Everyday. It's a natural-ish looking one though. I look ill without it (I think)

Never ever. My mum wears it every day regardless of what she's doing and reapplies it constantly, I think she uses it like lip balm

I wear lipstick every day. I top up when I feel like it needs it, usually if I've eaten something. I hate the feeling of just having lipliner left on my lips and all the lipstick has come off, so I always have it to hand! I have all different colours depending on my outfit, but usually its a pinky coral colour.

I always wear it (never without) and touch up once a day or if going out. Go-to shade atm is Ruby Woo by Mac (very matte).

Never because it only lasts 10 minutes and then it’s gone. Never found one that lasts any longer no matter how much dabbing or blotting I do.

Never. Not that I don't want to, but I am quite pale and wearing lipstick makes me look dead.

Every day and top up when I remember.

Only on nights out, weddings, parties, where I'll be photographed.

Only if I'm going properly 'out' e.g. for drinks or a meal. And to the office because the lighting makes me look shit otherwise.

I normally wear browny nude colours so reapply after eating. On the rare occasions I wear red I'm checking and touching up a bit obsessively!

Every day. I reapply if I’m going out, or after I eat/drink (if I’m already out). Reapplying when I’m already out is much easier if I use a fat lip crayon rather than a lipstick; I really like the Nars ones.

Oh I see you asked about shades.

Mac - Whirl for everyday and Chili for red. I'm olived skinned, hazel eyes, brown hair with blonde highlights.

Never. I think it looks pretty silly really, except on the catwalk or in fashion shoots.

I wish I could wear lipstick, but it never works on me, just bleeds or looks weird.

Never, I think it looks weird plus I read an article about how much lipstick women eat and what is in it, and it put me off! But mostly I think it looks weird.

Daily and mostly fairly natural "my lips but better" type shades. MAC Hug Me is my absolute go-to shade.

Always, and I top up frequently. Mostly Estee Lauder, also Mac and Nars. I adore lipstick. Knockout nude is my go to nude.

Whenever I’m not at work. Usually Dior 999.

I stopped putting it on when we had to wear masks all the time and haven't really started again. I should, I look better with it

Every day when I'm at work. Outside of work it's more likely to be a tinted lip balm unless I'm going somewhere nice.

I carry a small makeup pouch with me to the bathroom to touch up, usually a few times a day. I really like the Chanel Longwear liquid lipsticks, they last really well and are comfortable to wear (they have a clear gloss on the opposite end which is quite hydrating). My favourite everyday shade is Tender Beige, a mid tone neutral.

Lipstick is the only makeup I wear daily.
I'll put it on even when I'm just at home and going nowhere.
I don't feel put together unless I'm wearing it.
I'm dark-skinned so it's a dark red because, why not?

Maybe to a wedding or funeral, but mostly never, and when I do it's not much difference in colour to my lips. I do wear lip balm every day as I have dry lips and they get sun/wind burnt.
