Not sure if this is the correct section as it's not very stylish Grin. Is The Oodie worth the money at 2for £84? I'm hoping if it's decent I won't have to have the heating on as much.

Do they really keep you warm though? I always find that I’m better off with layers but will give these a try if they’re worth it.

I use mine as the top layer. Last winter it was t-shirt, velour tracksuit top and trousers then oodie over the top. I’m short so it came to about knee length. It let me turn down the heating several degrees.

This year I’ve bought a second oodie (so I can dry one on an airer which takes days because they are so thick) and thermal t-shirt and leggings (plus a heated throw) and I’m hoping to have the heating off during the day while I WFH.

Matildahoney · 31/08/2022 19:14

I got my snuddie from Primark, it's crazy warm. Not tried an oodie to compare it to, but I have no complaints!

Jules912 · 31/08/2022 19:15

If I wanted to wear it over a sweater do I need to size up or is that already accounted for?

Oodie only come in one size which I think is XXL

Talia99 · 31/08/2022 19:17

I can comfortably fit a hooded tracksuit top under it.

formulatingAresponse · 31/08/2022 19:17

We have Oodies and think they're great, size wise, comfort wise plus they wash well.

We will live in them at home throughout the winter and wore them at the beginning of the year when they announced the price hikes so I instantly turned off the heating bar 2 hours each morning B4 school and work to get ready and we were all more than happy.

In fact the teen DC like wearing them so much they prefer the heating down so they can wear them to snuggle up in in the evenings

formulatingAresponse · 31/08/2022 19:19

The Oodie is a 6 XL so massive, has a huge pocket at the front for phones and stuff. DD is a size 4 (XS) and just loves hers.

Talia99 · 31/08/2022 19:36

It’s basically like a huge fleecy blanket with arms. As I said, I wear mine over warm clothes not instead of.

Thehighlandcoo · 31/08/2022 19:42

I absolutely love my Oodie - I lived in it last winter! Definitely keeps the heating at bay so think of it as an investment piece Wink

Aworldofmyown · 31/08/2022 19:46

We have kuddly versions. They are great and can be tumble dried, unlike the Oodie!

sparklecement · 31/08/2022 20:49

weve got oodies. Amazing things.

Thestoppedfan · 31/08/2022 21:10

Does anyone know how to tell if one is genuine? Someone on my Facebook ordered one from a site called 5poundstuff and got sent an oodie. I risked it and ordered one and it’s branded kuddly. It looks real but it seemed too good to be true for the price (and it’s not advertised as branded which makes me thing it must not be genuine!).

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 31/08/2022 21:16

Thanks all. Some very interesting feedback here. I said about 2 for £84 as it said by one get one free and I could get DD one. I already have a blanket over me when lounging on sofa so this would be perfect and also for wfh. I've seen this one from next as well. Anyone tried these? First time I've seen one at next.

@teaandtoastwithmarmite I have the next one and a kuddly and the kuddly is far far better!

CoconutAmericano · 31/08/2022 22:00

I think they are. They're so so warm and cosy and wash like a dream. Just as well really, probably be living in it all winter 🙈

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 31/08/2022 23:18

@Justonedayatatime11 thank you- that's good to know. I like that pattern as well lol but will check out the kuddly

We have the Sienna ones from Amazon. Amazing and so snuggly.

I also have a sienna from Amazon and I remember taking it off in the middle of winter last year as I was too hot!

southseaisland · 01/09/2022 00:18

The Kuddy is more than double the price of a Sienna from Amazon. Is it worth it?

Hobbes8 · 01/09/2022 00:23

The kuddlys seem to get cheaper the more you buy. I bought 4 for £99 last week. They seem to be available for about £12 on one of the £5 sites as well. Ours turned up yesterday and they seem great - thick, warm and massive.

Zooforhouse · 01/09/2022 04:27

Any one know of one suitable for young kids? Looks like mine would drown in an oodie!

Zeeza · 01/09/2022 05:51

Which site please? I keep hearing this ans I keep looking but can't find it.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 01/09/2022 06:39

We have Comfy (from Costco). In warehouse was £19.99 last year. Online costs more but I think includes postage.

Big, thick & warm. Can"t fault it.

imnottoofussed · 01/09/2022 06:42

@Zeeza it's 5poundstuff website but some people got sent primark ones, some got oodie and some kuddly so you can't tell until it arrives. Think they've sold out now anyway
