Anyone fancy a good old-fashioned 100 day princessing thread??

i haven’t seen one of these in a while and I need it!!!

I’ve been a bit of a mess since lockdown. Overweight, drinking too much, house a bit of a mess, sleep patterns gone out the window, not much exercise (I do walk the dog but he’s older so it’s more of a gentle stroll).

I want to feel like me again and I like a deadline.

In 103 days it’s 28th November, which is pretty much the start of Christmas. We also have a Center Parcs holiday booked.
Now if you’re Irish (like me), Christmas starts on 25th November (The Late Late Toy Show) so it’s actually 100 days today!

In the past, people would come up with a list of 10? things they want to focus on over the 100 days. I think In the early challenges there used to be 1 list but later ones were more individual with everyone having their own list.

My basics are

  1. 7.5 hours sleep a night (I never seem to get to 8)
  2. 2L water a day
  3. 16:8 fasting
  4. Shower, teeth & wash face daily.
  5. Start back with TOMM cleaning schedule
  6. use Lumea hair removal weekly
  7. deep clean every room
  8. figure out how to deal with my wavy hair
  9. get my eyebrows done
  10. exercise, even just for 10 minutes, everyday.
I might tweak some of these but it’s a starting point.

so anyone else in??

@Yogachick

Is this the look you are rockin' right now ?
Stay strong through the urge to run to your hairdresser screaming
"Cut it off.......... Cut it OFF ..now" !

Yup! I’m straightening/using headbands and on really bad days I have a beautiful wig which is the style I’m aspiring to. It’s a bit hot to wear every day but it reminds me of where I want to be!

I’ve recently started using a habit tracker app, finding it very helpful TBH, to keep me on track re doing health related stuff, housework etc. And it’s free although I think you can pay for premium if you want to see your stats etc. It’s just called “Habit tracker Goal tracker & organiser”, it’s on the iPhone App Store.

Anyone treating themselves to a nice showergel for Christmas ?

I love the Molton Brown Orange&Bergamont but I'm working my way through a big bottle at the moment . It's more summery than festive .but put back on the shelf for now to be replaced with
BodyShop Spicd Orange - nice and Christmassey

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/12/2022 20:55

In a last ditch attempt

I have a skincae Try Me from M&S Formula so plan to use this every night till Christmas .
My hair is still very sparse , hoping it will grow back . It's a bit cotton wool-ey so I think stepping up the conditioner ? Plan to try some deep conditioner in the morning on the days I'm at home (before showering). Too busy at the moment and cold weather/early starts don't help !
Dye eyebrows
Some nice showergel so I can at least smell xared for with no effort

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/12/2022 15:28

Literally the last few hours now ........... only had 6 hours sleep last night as doing house-ey things then up early to go to supermarket so I'm flagging a bit .

Take away tonight then I think Elasticiser and skin care while Eastenders is on.

Then a long sleep Xmas Smile

Floydthebarber · 24/12/2022 15:34

I'm back!

House is tidier, feet are softer, hands and nails look nice.

I think I have enjoyed having quite vague, easy targets. I am going to carry over into the new year just the aim of being a slightly better me, no pressure, just doing little bits to feel better.

ChiaraMontague · 23/01/2023 11:05

I feel the need to rekindle my Princess goals! I've just worked out that 100 days from now will take me to my holiday week, plus it's just a few days before the coronation so a right royal occasion as well. I'll read through the original goals and make another plan!

Iwasntgettingasandwich · 23/01/2023 12:49

100 days takes us up to May!? What is happening to time!

MontalbanoFan · 23/01/2023 15:50

Er, I need to start again too!

A couple of things scuppered my princessing plans at the end of last year, so, yeah, the coronation . . . .

psuedocream3 · 23/01/2023 17:28

I'm on board!

I have a holiday and wedding as a guest coming up fast, and was looking for this thread.

Only new thing I've added really is Minoxidyl to help hair growth, and only just started so no results as yet.

Currently researching heat proof makeup for holiday!

moribundclock · 23/01/2023 17:41

I need to get back on track too. I've started doing hair masks which is a start.

This week/ I shall

  1. Drink more water
  2. Log all drily exercise
  3. Try out boxed hair remover thing
  4. Do pedicure
  5. Face mask
  6. Get more sleep
TerrysAllGoldGlisters · 23/01/2023 19:20

Oh gosh can I join please? I've lurked on these threads in the past but I really need to sort myself out by May, when I'll be going to a family event where I'll see people I haven't seen since before the 1st lockdown. I've gained 2.5 stones in the last 3 years (thanks perimenopause and lockdowns) and take so little care of my appearance since I started WFH. My goals this week will be to stick to under 1500 cals each day, drink 2l of water each day and get my greys sorted - have hairdresser appointment next week thankfully.

Montague22 · 23/01/2023 19:33

I might just have one goal for a while, to drink more of anything which isn’t coffee/tea or alcoholic.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/01/2023 19:49

Hello , back on the Princessing Tack -

I had a couple of days off for chocolate over Christmas Eve/Christmas Day then back on the wagon.
I have two bars of Lindt in the cupboard that I'm keeoing for Easter .

Hair has been cut , decided not to go down the road of colouring again.
New jar of Philip Kingsley Elastociser (I got a 40ml before Christmas so decided to invest in the bigger size)

Still doing well with the water intake .
Might need a new list .......

changedusername190 · 23/01/2023 20:24

Ooh I'm back and will definitely stick to it this time.
Since Christmas I've got my hair trimmed and coloured had a LVL lash lift and sorted out a skincare routine that works.
My OPI nail envy has finally paid off and I've finally got strong white nails.

Minnie123456 · 23/01/2023 21:35

Can I rejoin- completely fell of the thread (twice🙈) the last time but I have a holiday in July and need to make changes. I can't remember what my goals where so i'll make some new ones

1 loose weight, aiming for lb a week loss, so far this has not been going well at all
2 drink more water
3 eat more fruit/veg
4 try and have some sort of skin care routine
5 moisturise after bath/shower
6 use handcream
7 get more sleep
8 take vitamins- not take them for few days then stop
9 try and fit in some exercise
10 use a hair mask at least once a week and dry my hair before bed instead of going to bed with it wet as i'm too lazy to dry it.

cakeyyum · 24/01/2023 07:02

Need to restart this.

MudLady · 24/01/2023 07:48

I need to start back with this too. First few goals are:

Start using IPL again, I had to stop for a while due to medication but I should be OK now.
Do my skincare every day - even if feeling awful. Too often I don't bother if I have a cold or am otherwise unwell.
Drink more water.
Wear hair up every day - it reduces damage from friction & tangling. Can do a small bun finally so it'll be boring for a few months.
Take vitamins (biotin, silica for hair) & medication religiously.
Hair/scalp treatment for thin hair... been doing it a while but not often/consistently enough.
Body lotion all over every time I have a bath/shower.
Eat more seeds. On salad especially.

I'd like to start doing some regular exercise too. But I've been too tired recently, I think I had covid again last autumn, been having awful insomnia for a few weeks & now I've got a cold. The insomnia is a long term recurring issue, it will probably improve in a month or two, it usually does. Perimenopause is a delight...

CoolShoeshine · 24/01/2023 08:20

Marking my place to join in! The Coronation seems a good target. We got this! 🙂

Minnie123456 · 26/01/2023 22:47

@MudLady what hair/scalp treatment do you do? My hair has been gradually getting thinner over the last few years.

Yogachick · 27/01/2023 10:53

I’ll join in again. I’m on a 10 week plan to complete an 8 week exercise rotation and lose 6lb. Extra weeks for exercise in case I have fibro/CFS issues. Teeny weight loss target because I’m shit at losing weight I need to increase my protein SO much, didn’t realise how carb focused I was till I put it into Nutracheck. Massive consistency issues so I’m hoping posting will help

LBB2020 · 27/01/2023 20:30

I need to get back on this thread!
I had high hopes of hitting the ground running this year but actually January has been a bit of a write off (I can’t get my head in the right place!).
Hoping to lose half a stone by Easter as a starting point (could do with losing a stone or slightly more!), drink much more water and desperately need to start some regular exercise!

Thefailinghousewife · 27/01/2023 22:22

Ooh I’m back in as well. We go on holiday in 9 weeks so using that as a mini countdown. Will come back with my list shortly but it deffo involves, more water / sleep / vegetables / exercise!

Dashel · 28/01/2023 07:52

Hi can I join too please?

I have been loosing weight successfully and toning with exercise which I understand ok but princessing is an entirely new concept for me.

I am going to stress I’m hygienic with washing and brushing and clean clothes/bedding etc but I don’t own any make up and on the rare occasions I have bought any, it sits in a draw for a few years unused before it gets binned.

I do have some GHDs which are rarely used (mainly because I’m lazy but also because even though they aren’t that old, my hair reverts back to dragged through a hedge )

I bought an expensive hair zapper that and used it once so I will find that and use it.

Are there any guides for idiots for this? I am off on holiday in 3 months and need a makeover and some new clothes that aren’t jeans or joggers.
