What perfume gets you the most compliments? No one ever seems to notice mine, perhaps I'm not putting enough on..

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist. I've had women run after me on the street to ask me what I'm wearing and say how lovely it is. And it is.

Have a look at perfume parlour. I don't usually recommend dupes - but some things are absurdly over priced and/or unavailable... and perfume parlour are genuinely very good. They're excellent for some of my discontinued favourites.

I had a compliment today wearing Replica beach walk. I think it was boosted by the fragrance I wore yesterday evening which was still lingering as it’s so strong and that was Another 13 from Le Labo

Envy by Gucci used to get a lot of compliments

Same i loved it. Nothing else was even similar. It was not discontinued because of low sales. The creator left gucci I believe and there was some ownership kerfuffle.

yes it just suddenly disappeared from shops i wondered why, i bought my last bottle in Alders in Croydon I think after it was discontinued by then as was surprised to see it this was well over ten years ago

I was using St Tropez body tanning mist the other day and there was just a slightly similar smell looked online and on eBay it’s well over £100 for half a bottle (if I had that sort of spare cash I would be tempted)

My samples came through today. Absolutely blown away by Portrait of a lady!!!!! WOW!!! I can see why it has such a big price tag. Molecule 01 was nice too but honestly Portrait of a lady is my new favourite scent now! Scent Samples UK website…. Whoever recommended that earlier I owe you one :-) I tried a Tom Ford Bitter Peach sample too from them, and ladies I have to insist please give it a go you won’t be disappointed (here’s the link)

I was travelling last week (without kids - bliss! 🤣) and basically tried every perfume in Duty Free on both journeys! One of them was Tom Ford Bitter Peach which I liked too but I preferred a cherries one in the same range.

Disappointingly I do not like my Molecule 01 sample at all - would anyone else like it? I’d be happy to post it on - seems a shame to bin it.

My scent samples order came quickly and was all ok @billydilly @ClaryCabbage . Sorry you’ve not had yours @billydilly, hopefully just a hold up with Royal Mail. If not you should be able to claim back from your credit card though that’s a bit of a faff.

My samples came from Scent Sample ok but the email from them was sent at 01.30am so I had visions of them being a one man band suddenly being snowed under. I could be way off with that though

Givenchy Hot Couture EDP - the only time in my life when a lady in a shop chased me to ask what I was wearing.
Calvin Klein Women EDP - compliments from friends - it smells like clean washing (cedar + ambroxan), so I suppose it appeals to wider audience.
That's all, just 2 over the years of wearing perfume daily 😂

I am not a fan of portrait of a lady at all.i find it really harsh & brash. Reminds me of those 'big loud' 80s perfumes like poison.

I'm wearing Tom Ford Santal Blush at the moment & have had several compliments I also wear Costa Azzura & that gets lots of compliments too.
I'm a huge Tom Ford perfume fan
