@toucaninjapan I'm a sucker for Sweaty Betty's loungewear. Mainly because the fit is bang on. I religiously buy medium and it always fits. I can't be doing with brands whose sizes waver all over the place!

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2022 09:08

I also use stylebook to record my clothing but never do an ‘outfit’ just use the calendar. I is my daily outfit shoe for inspo ( or a reminder of what didn’t work!)
@toucaninjapan I have joggers’ from NRBY my favourite comfy clothing brand but recently tried a new brand to me ‘le Bon shoppe’ for a pair of jogger type trousers. Also hush is good

We went out last night for dinner, just a fast hour and a half and I wore my white Sézane dress but needed a denim jacket for the first time in months! its definitely autumn! Beautiful mist over the grounds this morning ( we back onto parkland) and that lovely autumn sunshine now warming up me and the cats
tee: hush
knitted top: knitted by me
shorts: agolde
sandals: Birkenstock

Off for a birthday boy coffee and pastry with DH and dog

Oversize Celtic sweater
Me & Em trousers
To be finished off with black Birkies once out the door
How do I take pics that don't make my legs look short? What am I doing wrong??

Realised DH is in dark jeans and a brown cord jacket. We look like yin and Yang. Anyone else dress like their OH?!

Back on here after a few hectic days! And next week is going to be crazy too so getting organised today (to do with being in Edinburgh - you get the gist!) Anthropologie harem pants with a Sweaty Betty top, and a wee waistcoat from Karen Millen. It’s part of a suit and I was just checking the fit since I last wore it (let’s just say it’s tighter than it should be….) The shoes are not exactly Sunday morning shoes but again, checking fit etc for a busy oncoming week. They are kick ass Dolce and Gabbana which I may need this week!

Ooh @Purplecatshopaholic will you have any insider gossip you can share?! Exciting an demanding week for many im
sure. DH has had so many meetings cancelled no idea why really

happytobemrsg · 11/09/2022 11:06

I recorded an outfit on Stylebook every day for a whole year once! I definitely made more of an effort during that time.

@toucaninjapan I struggle with loungewear. On one hand I want really lovely matching sets since I wear them at least twice a week. On the other hand, I resent having to pay a lot of money on clothes I only wear at home. My plan is to get to a happy place with my day-to-day wardrobe then move on to lingerie & loungewear. I do love nice pyjamas though. I have about 5 different pairs from Chelsea Peers which I love I think they do loungewear too.

Staying home today. Might go for a walk so I’ll get changed for that. I was wrong my loungewear set yesterday was from George as Asda, same with these grey ones.

Hard? Thanks autocorrect! HAPPY

Softpebbles · 11/09/2022 12:39

@happytobemrsg i think you may have inspired me to have my colours done and sort my wardrobe. Having just moved I have far too much and need to narrow it down and only keep what I love. I find that really hard!

Popping out for a coffee then home again and joggers will be on!

Levi 501’s

@happytobemrsg I was just looking at Chelsea peers loungewear! I also don't feel like spending a lot on clothes I plan to wear a lot at home, but I'm WFH and only have to go to the office on rare occassion, so I maybe need to change my views on that...
Anyway looks like I threw away all old clothes I was using as my winter loungewear in the past, and I figured out since soon I will have nothing to wear at home, buying new loungewear won't count in my low buy of only purchasing 2 items before January as it is more of a necessity than fun sort of thing. Hmm

@faffadoodledo I saw somebody mention Sweaty Betty on the "yummy mommy" thread, but also somebody said they're literally very sweaty? Like their leggings make you too hot even if you are just chilling on the sofa. Do you wear some of the thinner types?

Thanks @Sooverthemill , I'll have a look!

happytobemrsg · 11/09/2022 13:46

@OublietteBravo I really like your dungarees. They are a lovely colour. Really suits you.

@Softpebbles I’m still very much figuring out my style & the more confident I get the more I try things I used to just admire on others like wide leg trousers. Colours though, I’m pretty much set on. I’m a “winter” - similar to Kate Middletown’s colouring. Originally I was told I was an “autumn” but while I loved the colours I didn’t understand why mustard looked rubbish & black/white & strong/saturated colours like hot pink, bright coral, cornflour blue, charcoal (as opposed to light grey) looked so much better.

@toucaninjapan they have some lovely colours on Chelsea Peers. I also have two fluffy cats, one of which spends his whole evening on my lap so I don’t want loungewear I’ll be too upset about if they pull etc. I think my truck to feeling “dressed” & “put together “ in loungewear is to only wear matching sets. I might go in person shopping with my mum next month & treat myself.

Well I’m annoyed. I don’t know why I don’t learn!!! I ordered a khaki jumpsuit in a size 8. Arrives today in a size 10 & it’s much too big 😡 I need to shop more in person.

Sunsea21 · 11/09/2022 14:26

@Sooverthemill I love your jumper so much, I love knitting my own Jumpers and cardigans.
@Softpebbles i really love the cut of those jeans

today I’m wearing:
combat trousers cheap ones can’t remember the brand
top-oasis

not planning to leave the house today as feeling unwell so no shoes required!

Treated myself to these today! Just loved them

Nice @PeloFondo I have far too many trainers. My DH and I are as bad as one another 🙈 I keep looking at the Nike Blaze platform ones but I really really don’t need. Maybe it’s time to sell some!

I don’t really have lounge wear. I tend to Chuck on some joggers or jersey shorts. I’ve obviously work joggers a lot following my operation.

@Sunsea21 I like a pair of combats. I have very similar and mine were new look. Always feel like I should be in all saints when I wear them!

Cardigansalltheway · 11/09/2022 14:44

@Softpebbles love your Nike trainers, this isn't helping my trainer indecision at all!

Dressed for dog walking (hence the battered trainers) and feeling seriously stressed about packing for a week away with work (abroad so I'm only taking hand luggage). I thought I was all sorted but realised that every day requires a daytime and evening outfit so my washing machine is having a good workout today.

Tee: Warehouse
Jeans: M&S

Loving the trainers @PeloFondo and @Softpebbles
@Purplecatshopaholic I love the waistcoat - I borrowed one off DS (from when he was 15!) I am thinking I need to get one that I can actually do up as I love them worn casually with wide leg trousers.

happytobemrsg · 11/09/2022 17:12

Waistcoat & wide leg trousers sounds really nice @EllaPaella

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2022 17:39

@EllaPaella funnily enough I was thinking about messaging you to see if there's anything you would like knitted. But you can't want it too fast!

Sunsea21 · 11/09/2022 18:00

This is my latest knit. Just need the weather to get cold enough to wear it

Nice! Which designer? I’ve just finished this but needs ends sewn in. It’s reversible

Another funny old day. Went to see the Queen's cortège as it passed through my local town. Very true what they are saying on the news about her being a neighbour / part of the community. You could've heard a pin drop as she passed by - a very special moment that I'm so glad we got to experience. Good luck with whatever you are involved with this week @Purplecatshopaholic - it's clearly a massive operation for all involved.

Dress : Cloth & Stone via Anthropologie (felt tartan was appropriate)
Vest under : M&S
Leggings : Sainsburys
Worn with brown boots.

@toucaninjapan never made me sweaty just from lounging! Sure I've sweated in the leggings when actually exercising but that's different. I do have two version of the Gary pants tho - one thin, which suffices most of the time, and one thick, which is good in the depths of winter
