Has anyone had any issues getting a refund through Vinted?

Just had an order cancelled and a refund will apparently be made within 5 working days. However all the reviews on TrustPilot don’t give me hope that I will actually receive one 🙈

Mine came back immediately, same day.

Yeh I’ve had ordered cancelled loads and got a refund, it’s amazing how many people don’t bother to send things 🙄

There is currently something very dodgy going on with Vinted, refunds and payouts into bank accounts have all been 'held up' by a processing error... lots of angry people been waiting for refunds, or withdrawals to hit their bank accounts for over a week with no sign of them

I hope I’ve not just lost my money :(

I messaged directly after problems with a seller about 3 weeks ago and they where very helpful and messaged back within 48 hours and sorted the refund straight away. So fingers crossed all will run smooth for you

I've been waiting for a refund for over a week now and their help page states: 'Unfortunately, there is an issue with processing refunds.'

I have had two refunds, one due to seller not even posting the item, one due to hermes losing the parcel, both refunds sorted quickly so my experience has been good.

Still waiting for a refund from 3 weeks ago after purchasing an item that was never sent. Every time I message Vinted they just reply telling me it’s a ‘processing error’. I now assume that I’ve lost my money. Glad you got your refund OP.

I am also waiting for a refund almost 2 weeks I am due almost £200

Im still waiting over a month ago from purchasing a watch. I just sent message to vinted again about my refund as it didnt arrived at the said date. I think a lot of seller scammers going on Vinted and i will never ever buy there again.

Come to think of it, I have been waiting a while for sold items to show in my balance.

3 times I’ve had issues getting refunds and still waiting! 1 due to item cancelled because it wasn’t posted, another because the seller lived in Ireland and didn’t have any means to post it and the other had no excuse! Tried getting in touch with Vinted over 3 weeks and still not getting anywhere! Not sure how it’s done but money goes out of my bank at pending still down by that amount but won’t refund after said amount of days it should be. It mysteriously disappears! Plus another transaction is just not getting refunded at all! Makes me wonder if Vinted is worth it!

Yesterday I got £58 pound refunded. Still waiting on the rest which is now £160!

I've found vinted to be really good. Ordered some trainers. Forgot about them until vinted automatically refunded me as the seller hadn't dispatched

finally Got a refund beginning of the week after 3 weeks to find today they’ve deducted it again out of my bank😡 but because the transaction was sorted you can’t go back into the item to query it because it’s disappeared! I’ve had to use another item to send a message! I will never use Vinted again!

Slightly unrelated but why are all the prices on Vinted now suddenly in odd numbers? Eg. £2.64

I’ve given up on vinted, I really liked it at first but found sellers too unreliable I bought something for my daughter to wear on a certain day (a week in advance) and it took 7 days for them to even post it so I got it about 10 days after buying it, Back to eBay for me where people usually post next day...

I have a couple this week - all say there's a delay. Oddly, the refund amounts are showing in Euros...

I've never had any issues with refunds up until recently when I waited a while for my refund. I also made 2 different purchases a couple of weeks ago which came off my bank balance at the time but then these transactions stayed in pending for a couple of weeks and then came off again the other day and came off my balance. I thought I must be mistaken but after reading this thread I think something dodgy has gone on. In fact the refund came in the same day as this happened its hard to make sense of it and I'm struggling to write out what I mean which is why I haven't even bothered contacting vinted about it.

There's a lot of issues with vinted and their payment supplier mangopay.

I noticed I had more money in my bank than I should have recently and was stressing out (because there's always a catch or something wrong when that happens). I realised it was because Vinted hadn't taken my payments. They had gone from "pending" to being put back in my account.

Digging online I found out this happened once before, a year ago. Vinted would not claim the money for up to a month later. People would not realise and spend the money, only to be put into an unauthorised overdraft a few weeks later when vinted finally took the money.

Luckily I noticed this but the forums are now full of very upset and angry people, without enough money to live on for the month now. Customer service is non existent. I think Vinted are going to go bust soon, their trustpilot rating is terrible

Sorry this happened to you too but I'm glad it's not been my imagination. Sounds like it must be what @Viostep has explained. I'm gutted as I've only recently started using Vinted and have done nothing but rave about it so I was shocked the other day to see their trust pilot rating and now reading this thread I'll never be using it again.
