Has anyone had any issues getting a refund through Vinted?

Just had an order cancelled and a refund will apparently be made within 5 working days. However all the reviews on TrustPilot don’t give me hope that I will actually receive one 🙈

Two months ago I withdrew £200 pounds into my bank account and it never showed up. I checked and my bank account number listed with Vinted had changed. I'd had my Vinted account for a year and never changed my bank account. I also understood they asked for phone verification when you changed your account and I definitely hadn't done this

Two months later I get a weekly email on my support chat telling me to 'just be a little more patient, we haven't forgotten you'. When I ask how much longer it will take they simply say they are still investigating

Interesting there seem to be some issues with payment. I might try the CEO email listed above!

Rumours are that they are going under and will take customers money with them
They owe me £400 from sales they say have been paid but haven't gone into my account ( for a month ) best bet is to call their P.R company in the U.K . Hava PR
And ask for Rachael somson . They won't put you through but after 6 or 7 calls they got pissed off with me a contacted me

This is all a bit sad to read. For all the people that enjoyed Vinted. It would be nice if the CEO would issue a statement.

I've been waiting a month for a total of £400 pounds . Vinted customer services exist to stonewall , delay and shift blame . They are utterly unempowered to do anything. If you are also having unortharised amounts taking out of your bank that is terrible. How many people has this happened to without noticing ?
Don't bother with customer services email their in house legal team .

I've been waiting 7 weeks now for £200

Last week they closed my chat with their support team which has been ongoing since may. I then opened a new help chat and they say they have no knowledge of my original chat, and I have to give them all the details again

Mine is weirder as someone changed my bank account within Vinted and it can only be done with my phone authorisation so therefore MUST be someone on the other side? They can't tell me who the account belongs to nor which bank or anything (which I understand but they said they were working with the bank to sort and then just disappeared)

God . Sorry what a mess ! I think something similar has happened to my money. The P.R company are passing on messages so it's worth keeping the pressure on ( they did call me back eventually and said they would raise the issue with Vinted ). But the more people that contact them hopefully the quicker it will be resolved. Also email Vinted's U.K legal dept. [email protected].
Again this info is passed on higher up so keep trying.

@Alicedaisy888 I know you've mentioned you are a journalist. I'm now writing an email to Rachael sansom, Sam holdsworth and Thomas Plantenga (no idea if it's the right one)

I'm also considering giving this to the press as perhaps others may have as well but I think you mentioned you might be working on something?

Glad I saw this as I was about to list a few things. I had an issue with a purchase a couple of months ago and got an almost instant refund so I thought it was all ok!

I've just sold about £150 worth of stuff, but will go back to eBay if there are going to be hassles getting money withdrawn

I am currently in the process of filing a class action againt Vinted .
I need people who fall into 3 categories to compile a list of names ( the more the better ) but i'm aiming for 200 .
The requirements are

  1. you are owed money over £100 because of a promise of a refund from Vinted or money from completed sales not reaching banks .( you have need to be waiting a month or more ) 2)Scam sellers ( again the threshold amount needs to be £100 or more ) where Vinted found in the sellers favour or you are still waiting a month or over for a refund . 3)Counterfeit goods and as above Vinted found in the sellers favour or you have waited a month or more for a refund . This will cost you nothing and I just need names ( you can asterisk letters in your surname if you wish ) Amount owed and how long you have waited for your money ( I don't need to know which of thr above categories you fall onto at the moment . This is just a filing bit will be given massive exposure. . Please share x

@Alicedaisy888 I will PM you as not sure if I fall into any of these categories. The latest email I have received is that it was a 'technical glitch' but I need to continue to be patient and they cannot tell me anything about what they have been investigating since May. Utter farce.

Had the pleasure of speaking to the male partner who asked me if I knew the difference to being on the payroll and the payroll department. I have a degree in Economics. Make sure you can manage to write complex things liks numbers and adding up and stuff without getting confused on the twitter feed ladies .
