Cutex - yes the nail brand- did a blusher way back called Golden. I used it as a bronzer. The most brilliant bronzer. The most perfect colour. Gone. Sad

Coty's Wild Musk fragrance. I think it would do really well if reintroduced and marketed correctly.
It wouldn't need re formulating as it was just great as it was. The most gorgeous scent. I just felt really good in it.
To me a really sexy scent. Other musks don't come close. It was probably the slight vanilla note added.
(I have more expensive taste too honest - my "good, going out " perfume is a Chanel Exclusif or Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien ).

Boots 17 Poncho Pink lipstick was a favourite too. Seems I'm not alone as there is a Facebook page with people pleading for it to be reborn.

Mac's Asian Flower lipstick gone but not forgotten by me.

Harmony wash in / wash out colour shampoos.

What are your beloved, long list products ?

I've got some Goodbye Yellow as well and a bit of Barbara Daly lipstick I decanted into a little pot. It's a lovely colour and texture and now irreplaceable Sad

I still have a bottle of GoodBye Yellow nail stuff too.

This thread is bringing back such memories...I loved Revlon Flex shampoo and the Dry Skin Relief body lotion was amazing. I loved Charlie eye shadow (also Revlon), my favourite shade was Goldfrost Mauve, anyone remember it?

BrownTableMat · 03/07/2022 21:28

Body Shop Dewberry. Though probably only because I’m nostalgic for my teenage years

speakout · 03/07/2022 21:32

Lacura foundation from ALDI
Purple Fenjal bath oil

JaneJeffer · 03/07/2022 21:55

@LadyEloise1 maybe it wasn't that great when we've all got some left Grin

LadyEloise1 · 03/07/2022 22:15

@JaneJeffer I actually only used it once and do need to use it. Glad I have some left.

Sachets of beer shampoo and conditioner from the chemists - smelt amazing and remind me of swimming baths
Mudd mask that made your face throb when it dried
Gliss shine spray for hair

Pandorapitstop · 04/07/2022 15:42

Sachets of beer shampoo
Linco Beer!

Coniferhedge · 04/07/2022 16:04

Impulse Free Spirit
Nicola Roberts’ Dainty Doll make up range - specifically for those with a very pale skin tone. Made me look vaguely normal instead of cadaverous.

Musmerian · 04/07/2022 17:14

@PlantSpider thank you!

Smileyoriley · 04/07/2022 17:23

Hair products seemed much better back in the day- or maybe my younger hair was betterGrin!
I loved Flex and Vidal Sassoon range- especially the deep conditioning treatment.
There was also a conditioner called Tame which didn't weigh my hair down.
I miss the neck cream from Lush too- the only neck treatment which actually worked, plus it smelled amazing!

The Prescriptives foundation that was colour matched exactly to your skin and then mixed at the counter.

This. It was worth every penny and was so light could be used even in summer with a tan.

MigsandTiggs · 04/07/2022 17:32

Prescriptives colour coded for skin tone, eye makeup range and their fabulous facial scrub with the separate Vit C powder and the liquid drops.
Actually anything by Prescriptives.

MigsandTiggs · 04/07/2022 17:42

Kerastase aqua seal for swimmers. Still being sold on eBay but all fake as I proved to the seller as I still have some and sent in pics of the original. Got a refund.

MovinOnUp · 04/07/2022 17:46

@Veganuaryborn you can still get the gliss shine spray in home bargains.

notacooldad · 04/07/2022 17:51

About 22 years ago Max Factor did a powder lipstick. It came with a small applicator with a transparent lid on the case. The colour suited me and looked great. It wasn't around for long and no one seems to remember it.

Prescriptives did a fabulous red lipstick that also looked good on me.

Charles of The Ritz did a lovely khaki green cream eyeshadow. I know it doesnt sound that great but it suited me and went on so easily and lasted ( it was from the 80's)

notacooldad · 04/07/2022 17:53

A few Christmas ago Boots had a celebrity range of make up for the Christmas present market called the Full Panda by Claudia Winkleman. I bought some discounted in the sales and it was brilliant. I would buy it all again if I could.

Veganuaryborn · 04/07/2022 18:18

@MovinOnUp that’s is I’m going into town on Saturday!

@Pandorapitstop linco beer that’s the stuff - only ever remember it in sachets !

jay55 · 04/07/2022 18:42

Gap fragrances

St Ives did a jojoba shampoo that smelt amazing when I was a teen and it didn't hurt my scalp. I miss it.

KillingMeDeftly · 04/07/2022 18:54

The Body Shop lip balms of the 90s. The ones they sell now just don't compare. They're far too sticky and not as moisturising.

I also loved their strawberry body oil and still have a bottle of it that I got as a present in around 1992! It still smells as good as it did back then.

VanillaImpulse · 04/07/2022 22:40

Mum deodorant in Sunburst (the yellow one) - reminds me of carefree summer days in the mid 90s

Iamatbrakingpointyouknow · 05/07/2022 22:05

Good Lord, where do I begin?? OK, I'll start with the 1970s, coz I'm ancient. Miners perfume oils, very heady and sexy scents. They did musk, ambergris, patchouli and ylang ylang.

1980s. Body Shop Pineapple Face Wash. It came in a flat pot. also, the original Carrot Cream (the stuff they sell now is nothing near as good).

1990s. Mostly Musk perfume oil. Passion Fruit Face Wash. Japanese Washing Grains.

I could probably think of more.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/07/2022 18:37

Topaz shampoo and conditioner . Lovely thick nourishing and gorgeous smell

Body Shop:
Passionfruit cleanser ( I bought the passionfruit showergel recently but not tried it yet)
Absinthe handwash ( I used as a showegel, I was gutted when they stopped it)
Lipstick , shade 06 back in the 90s. Perfect MMBB

M&S
Formula showergel and bodycrub (white tube)
Formula perfume n the frosted bottle
Forest Fern showergel

CinderellyCinderelly · 06/07/2022 20:11

This shampoo made my hair soooo shiny! Used to be able to get it in Poundland! Gutted it's gone

The Lancôme Flash Bronzer for face. It was a gel texture, dried really quickly and gave a gorgeous colour. Have searched in vain for something similar. These days it just seems to be tanning drops and I don't want to put moisturiser on my nose or chin thank you very much.

The other one for me is Gucci Eau de Parfum II. Again have searched and searched for something that smells similar but to no avail.
