Cutex - yes the nail brand- did a blusher way back called Golden. I used it as a bronzer. The most brilliant bronzer. The most perfect colour. Gone. Sad

Coty's Wild Musk fragrance. I think it would do really well if reintroduced and marketed correctly.
It wouldn't need re formulating as it was just great as it was. The most gorgeous scent. I just felt really good in it.
To me a really sexy scent. Other musks don't come close. It was probably the slight vanilla note added.
(I have more expensive taste too honest - my "good, going out " perfume is a Chanel Exclusif or Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien ).

Boots 17 Poncho Pink lipstick was a favourite too. Seems I'm not alone as there is a Facebook page with people pleading for it to be reborn.

Mac's Asian Flower lipstick gone but not forgotten by me.

Harmony wash in / wash out colour shampoos.

What are your beloved, long list products ?

Lancôme flash bronzer for face - hands down the most natural fake tan and I was devastated when they discontinued it. Just enough colour to look great, but not obviously 'fake'. Lovely light consistency and smelt OK too.

Ruby and Millie make up range, especially the eyeshadows. I still have one of their eyeshadow brushes that must be about 15 odd years old and going strong. Perfect size and shape for me.

Paco Rabanne XS For Her in the yellow box with silver lettering - clear bottle silver top. LOVED this in the early 90s.

Benefit Dr Feelgood - amazing consistency, think this was one of the first primers I ever tried.

An Almay mascara - can't remember the name but was such a lovely dark brown and was great for my sensitive eyes.

Natrel Plus deodorant from the mid/late 80s (men's one in the navy tin with purple writing). Just remembered how lovely this smelt and have never found a deodorant I'm too bothered about since.

Corn Silk powder, I’ve not found anything that’s close. I’d been using it since my teens and every now and then I’d buy a high end powder only to go back to Boots and buy Corn Silk.

Revlon used to do a body lotion in a big bottle, I think 400 ml and it was fab. I think it’s the only body lotion I ever finished and repurchased.

Estée Lauder used to do a mauve concealer in a sponge tipped applicator. A small amount on the eyelid would neutralise the lid and brighten the area.

Anne French cleansing milk.

<sigh>

I think that was Dry Skin Relief by Revlon. Brilliant.

PinkArt · 30/06/2022 20:25

Benebalm, the whole range of Clinique Almost Lipsticks and - sighs - Chloe, Love.

ThorsBedazzler · 30/06/2022 20:52

Another Benefit LemonAid fan here.

Boots candyfloss lip balm. And raspberry ripple lop balm.

Oil of Ulay - the smell was one of my few memories of my maternal grandmother.

RinklyRomaine · 30/06/2022 21:11

Le Feu D'issey. The most comforting, weird, interesting, gorgeous scent ever. I wore it for years then bam, gone.

Benefit Georgia before they put all that sparkle in.

Urban decay cream shadow. Crazy colours but immense staying power.

@dolphinsarentcommon

Yep, got the shampoo and conditioner from Amazon and still the same smell. Lovely. But there was also a Weleda one that smelt very herby. I do miss that one!

lollipoprainbow · 03/07/2022 17:24

Goodbye yellow from Barbara Daly gives nails a lovely whiten. I still have a bottle from years ago!

Deathraystare · 03/07/2022 17:33

@ChaToilLeam

Ahh yes the Goya perfumes - I used to help myself to my mum's. I am old too!

I miss Outdoor Girl products and Miners Told you I was old! Outdoor Girl did a face gel tint in a honey colour that I loved. Mind you I was not really into blending at that age so who knows what I looked like......

Deathraystare · 03/07/2022 17:33

Really missing the Mary Quant stuff too.

PlantSpider · 03/07/2022 17:37

Musmerian · 29/06/2022 20:14

Tom Ford Gardenia perfume, Body Shop Viennese Face Chalk and their honey and oatmeal face mask,.Bobbi Brown tinted face balm.

Her new line Jones Road has a really similar one, almost identical, called WTF (strangely!).

PlantSpider · 03/07/2022 17:38

Incase no one else has said it, Bourjois is coming back to the UK.

I mourned XS Pour Elle for years too and a friend recommended Elizabeth Arden ArdenBeauty recently and it smells almost exactly the same on me. I think technically it might be discontinued but quite easy to get hold of still and cheaply.

This thread is making me sad. I keep thinking a product sounds brilliant and I must try it, then I remember the point of the thread. 😔 And yet, it's like a mouth ulcer that I can't help sucking on and I keep coming back to get excited by more products I'll never be able to use.

pbj · 03/07/2022 17:54

was coming on to say that exact one too @PositivityNeeded the plum version of Bad Gal was perfect for green eyes! Haven’t found anything to compare since.

OMG this stuff was the absolute best, I’d totally forgotten about it and I’m so jealous you still have some!

excelledyourself · 03/07/2022 19:09

Nivea raspberry rose lip butter. It was perfect for mixing with lipstick to make it creamy.

Also Soap and Glory Glow Lotion. I loved the smell of it.

ChipsRoastOrBoiled · 03/07/2022 19:16

Marks & Spencer's Formula oil to milk facial cleanser. They still do the Formula range but not this product. I've never found a great alternative that doesnt leave my skin feeling tight or dry, though I've spent a small fortune trying!

YSL sell a burgundy mascara and also a lash primer - it isn't quite the same but I like it 😀

I would like to agree on Benebalm (I still have one of the little glass jars) and add Barbara Daly foundation in Porcelain, as I've never found a match as good before or since. I also liked Miners eyeshadow sets in the neon colours.

LaQuern · 03/07/2022 19:21

Another vote for Revlon Sry Skin Relief.

Also Sunsilk De Parfum (clear purple shampoo which smelt amazing)

Ultima II Glowtion

Body shop I've blue shampoo and protein cream rinse

@pbj yes! Been looking for a replacement for years!

Bobbins36 · 03/07/2022 19:30

Benefit: as mentioned plum coloured Badgal, Some Kinda Wonderful foundation too, really loved that.

Sunshineandrainbow · 03/07/2022 19:35

Body shop japenese washing grains

JaneJeffer · 03/07/2022 20:43

I've got some Goodbye Yellow as well and a bit of Barbara Daly lipstick I decanted into a little pot. It's a lovely colour and texture and now irreplaceable Sad

cato75 · 03/07/2022 20:49

Clarins Hot Fuchsia was the perfect shade of pink lipstick for me. I'm still searching for an identical shade.

florianfortescue · 03/07/2022 20:52

The very first iteration of Charles Worthington shampoo and conditioner - the orange one for dry hair. I can still remember the absolutely sublime smell of it. I was gutted when they changed the formulation.
