Name-changed for this just in case!

100% honesty on this dress - I love it but my bust is considerably bigger than my waist so my chest always looks top heavy.

I feel like I have a flabby mum body - is this your first thought too? (Dress for special occasion, wanted to feel beautiful but mostly just feel matron-ish. Also please ignore trainers!)

It's nice, but more of an everyday dress than a special occasion. More boho relaxed than dressed up. What is the occasion?
Boobs do look big, but I think a better bra may help to lift them a bit, it's a bit 'shelfy.'

inappropriateraspberry · 25/06/2022 23:44

Also, less fabric on the top would make your bust appear a bit smaller. A Bardot neckline showing your shoulders, or a deep v neck.

BluebellsareBlue · 25/06/2022 23:45

I think you have a gorgeous figure! Lovely boobs and a slim waist but that dress is really drab and dowdy. But that's only my opinion, and I'm just a stranger on the internet

Littleguggi · 25/06/2022 23:49

Too casual for an occasion do!

RuthW · 25/06/2022 23:53

It looks stunning on you but is a day dress and not really for a special occasion

namechange496829 · 25/06/2022 23:56

You have a lovely figure.

The dress is a no from me really don't like the pattern/colour. Also think it's more of a day dress than for a special occasion.

Oceanus · 26/06/2022 00:18

I like the dress but I don't think you've got the right bra on, sorry. That bra does your girls no justice, sorry again! It would look better with sandals (Havaianas or sth more classic) or different sneakers. The dress is very girly and those sneakers look very harsh (for that dress, because they're fine, I like them!).

countvoncount · 26/06/2022 00:27

I love it! And would wear it with trainers

SpringIntoChaos · 26/06/2022 00:46

It's ok...but not 'dressy' if that's what you're going for OP. I'd wear it for school...I'm a teacher. Lots of us wearing dresses like this in school at the moment.

butterflyflutterby123 · 26/06/2022 00:47

Love it

Princessoftheuniverse · 26/06/2022 00:49

Nothing wrong with you but I really dislike the dress especially the dowdy colour.

CourtneeLuv · 26/06/2022 00:50

I like it, but more for daytime, not special occasions, and you need a better bra. They need hoiking up a bit.

dontgobaconmyheart · 26/06/2022 00:51

I saw this in TK Maxx this afternoon and thought it was potentially either really nice or awful, then tried it on and concluded the colouring and fit was a bit dowdy on me. I think that boho sort of style better suits cottons and linen fabrics and a looser fit. They also had it in a light blue which I preferred but didn't have my size and I felt the fabric felt a bit cheap.

I don't think it's an occasion dress really, when I saw it in person I thought it might be nice for a casual hot day with some sandals but wouldn't think of it for anything other than that.

clanell · 26/06/2022 01:15

You have a great body. The dress is the problem not you. Not sure anyone would make that dress look awesome. It's very boring

ladydoris · 26/06/2022 02:43

I missed the special occasion bit. Sorry this is not a special occasion dress at all. You need to look for lace overlay or sheath, tea length would fit you better. Because of you figure a tailored dress with a solid colour (pastels, depending if if's for right now or a year round dress) would make you stand out.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 26/06/2022 06:09

It's a flowery frock, I don't think it's an occasion dress at all. And it's rather dull colours. You can do much better OP. I agree with a PP, if you're dressing for an occasion you'll find something on Bombshell. I am a busty hourglass and need fitted dresses otherwise I look dumpy.

Ouchmytoe100 · 26/06/2022 06:51

I think it looks lovely!

Insertdeadcatsnamehere · 26/06/2022 07:12

I love the dress and it looks great on you but I'd definitely say it's more of a day dress.

Arrivederla · 26/06/2022 07:30

As a priority get fitted for a new bra - no dress is going to look great with your boobs unlifted like that. Sorry to sound unkind - I think you could fabulous though.

Starryskiesinthesky · 26/06/2022 07:41

I would suggest watching Melissa Murrel on YouTube. She is good at giving advice for different body types.

balalake · 26/06/2022 07:43

I like it, agree about the right bra being important.

milkysmum · 26/06/2022 07:44

You have an amazing figure!
The dress shows this off, however it's I really dull colour I think, definitely not an occasion dress ( and please tell us the occasion so we can advise more..)

Fairislefandango · 26/06/2022 07:49

Lovely figure. Not a fan of the dress at all - I think the colour, pattern and shape make it look very dowdy.

milkmilkeverywhere · 26/06/2022 08:05

Fantastic figure - could do better for dress. I think it's the tiers that make it look frumpy on you but the shape round the boobs, in at the waist then loose works for you.

AnuSTart · 26/06/2022 08:09

It's a nice enough dress (albeit a bit matronly as you say) and I love flowers but I can't see it as a special occasion dress at all.

With your figure I would go with a swing dress. You would blow people's minds with your gorgeousness.
