Name-changed for this just in case!

100% honesty on this dress - I love it but my bust is considerably bigger than my waist so my chest always looks top heavy.

I feel like I have a flabby mum body - is this your first thought too? (Dress for special occasion, wanted to feel beautiful but mostly just feel matron-ish. Also please ignore trainers!)

I actually think it looks bloody fabulous on you!!! But agree that perhaps too casual for a special occasion.

Youcansaythatagainandagain · 25/06/2022 20:43

I don’t think it suits you at all. You chest is emphasised and the overall look is unflattering and matronly looking.

TheMoth · 25/06/2022 20:47

You need a better bra.

Honestly though, I don't think those dresses suit anyone.

Megapint · 25/06/2022 20:47

It's not a dress I would have picked. But I actually like it on you. I wouldn't call it dressy it's a everyday casual dress. You have a great figure & I love your hair colour.

Dolallytats · 25/06/2022 20:48

I love the dress and you look fab!! Swap the trainers for a pair of flat but chunky sandals and you're all set :)

DontLikeCoffee · 25/06/2022 20:51

Agree with a better bra (maybe?).
What is the occasion as to me it’s quite casual and something I’d wear with trainers on a normal day.
Colour is quite drab.
Really shows off your waist, definitely does not look like a flabby mum body!
There are lots of tiered maxi dresses out there, I think there are nicer ones for occasions.

magaluf1999 · 25/06/2022 20:51

I think its a lovely dress for work
For a primary school Teacher. Keeps everything covered.

Its not special for an occasion. I see no problem with your figure. Hourglass like many women. Most hourglass women are advised to wear a wrap dress of some description as a v style neck is most
Flattering and it synches the waist in the right place.

I think you can find better that makes your figure sing and you walk tall and feel fabulous.

NippyWoowoo · 25/06/2022 20:52

Absolutely love it

ladydoris · 25/06/2022 20:52

OMG you have such a lovely figure ! You would need a big belt to contrast, but it's not the best to show you of. You have the curves in the right places you need a proper a line skirt to balance your top, long pleated skirts with fitted top will make you a killer. There is not enough fabric to the skirt for fluidity. This is why it is ending like this. A belt would add creases.

HipsterCoffeeShop · 25/06/2022 20:54

It fits beautifully but it's not a special occasion dress. The colour is drab, it's quite a 'safe' style. It's the kind of thing I would wear to my very ordinary office job.

You have a great figure, but it's not a great dress. Sorry!

cottagegardenflower · 25/06/2022 20:54

Bit of a granny or little house on the prarie. You have a nice figure, so would look good in so many other dresses.

JenniferPlantain · 25/06/2022 20:55

Awful dress. You have a lovely figure.

MiniPiccolo · 25/06/2022 20:56

Far too top heavy, OP. It highlights your fabulous figure in totally the wrong way and just looks frumpy. Those dresses aren't intended for bigger busts, they're supposed to look loose and floaty on smaller chests.

Look for a wrap dress that is lower in the waist and doesnt cut under your bust. Shorter in the sleeve and a shorter in the length too.

Also the dress is a casual day dress for sandals and a bag/beach bum hair... not really special occasion wear.

anybloodyname · 25/06/2022 20:56

Love it ! Great boobs ! White trainers

stayingpositiveifpossible · 25/06/2022 20:56

I too think you have a lovely and very attractive figure as others have said.

Perhaps it is about owning your curves (which are amazing) and choosing a style that doesn't attempt to hide them!

I don't like the colour. I feel you would be better off with a bright colour that says 'hello! Here I am' rather than a muted shade and hiding away.

Having said that I do emphathise if you have been out of the lime light for a while. I have yet to reconnect with my former sexy self!

Personally I like Asquithwww.asquithlondon.com/halcyon-dress-navy/

the fit and feel of the fabric is amazing on your skin, they cater for plus sizes. Unfortunately they don't currently have the wrap dress on website but you might find something going forward. Also they have frequent sales on January and August so what might appear to be mega expensive if you catch them at the righ time of year they are really good value

or this jumpsuit maybe

stayingpositiveifpossible · 25/06/2022 21:03

quite modern and you can dress it up with jewellry

RampantIvy · 25/06/2022 21:06

You have lovely curves, but, sorry, the dress does make you look rather matronly.

Popsicle33 · 25/06/2022 21:07

You've got a nice body but the dress is a horrible colour and makes your fabulous bosom look like a shelf. You need something with a deep v neck to show off your enviable waist. Ps I'm a personal shopper

LovelyYellowLabrador · 25/06/2022 21:08

I think it’s lovely and makes your boobs look great

dapsnotplimsolls · 25/06/2022 21:09

Not fancy enough for a special occasion. You look good though, tummy not noticeable with those boobs going on!

EmergencyPoncho · 25/06/2022 21:12

I'd go for a gold wedge...

McConkeysPlate · 25/06/2022 21:15

I have this dress in a different colour. It looks fabulous on you!

declutteringmymind · 25/06/2022 21:17

Have you tried it with a thick belt?

It's actually lovely but just needs a bit of tailoring or structure
