I too am side-eying the Shaman Derek, but certainly hope that Martha Louise and her family are happy.

In other Norwegian news, Princess Ingrid Alexandra is to have her 18th birthday party later this month - it was delayed by Covid. The Dutch Court has confirmed that Max and her oldest daughter Catherine Amalia will attend. That should mean two new tiara-wearing princesses!

Close up of Martha Louise's ring. Apparently it "features a striking emerald as the heart and center and is ethically sourced 3.5 carat stone from Brazil. The emerald sits within a halo of 19 Diamonds, with four trillion-cut diamonds surrounding the face of the ring, each representing the four elements –— earth, air, water and fire."

Having seen the ring up close I'm not keen on it. It's a bit fussy for me, and I prefer a darker emerald.

No, the boob tigers leave me cold 😬. I do really like the CPM’s skirt outfit, that’s very nice, and the blue shoes are good with it.

I don’t like the ring, and I usually love emeralds, but the styling of it just looks fussy to me, it reminds me of the costume jewellery on the front of little girl’s princess magazines.

I like Princess ML. She seems a very gentle soul and she and her girls have been through a huge trauma early in their lives and they seem to have a lovely relationship. Stepping away from Senior Royal life , living in the US and marrying an American seems to be working for her.

The ring appears to be a pale emerald. I like my emeralds deeper in colour.

CPV for national day, I think. I like the green, but not sure about the shape of the frilly shoulder. I like the headpiece though.
The national dress looks fantastic. We could do with an interesting national dress, do we have anything apart national flowers? It’s rubbish that I don’t know!

National dress - I have opinions as a Swede. I do not like this yellow blue monstrosity. So artificial! But that said, yer wan who married that Malaysian prince had one made in batik fabrics, super interesting. I’ll see if I can find the picture.

I agree that on closer inspection, the ring is not all that. Definitely a bit kids' magazine.

However I love Victoria in the green dress, ruffles included! Only thing I would edit is make it a bit less sheer-looking, but then I like deep colours to be properly deep.

Checking in post Jubilee, was away for long weekend in Aviemore, so didn't catch much live so thank you Royal S&B vipers I am now fully au fait with all the frocks, no howlers, all stayed firmly in their fashion lane. I did muse as to why Zara & Eugenie go for high necks and look booby, rather than a more flattering neckline until my DD said "maybe they want to look booby" and reminded me of my DM's advice along the lines of "if you've got it flaunt it" she would say "some women pay £000's for big boobs and we got ours for free". I think as long as they stay away from boob tigers and boob pineapples (that was Kate iirc) I shall leave them to it.

My son kept the copper beard, and cut quite the figure, it certainly got comments as a contrast to his dark curly hair and dark skin!
Then he shaved it off, but has started growing it again because people are intrigued at the lottery of genetics!

Oh dear, I'm in agreement about the ring. It's a bit like those free gifts you used to get with Judy magazine.

I love the colour of CPV's green dress enough to overlook the ruffles, which are not usually to my taste.

I’m glad he’s growing the beard back! My dh is white with dark hair, but used to have a coppery beard, but now they are white mixed with dark. My eldest dd is a redhead, and only earlier she was comparing her very pale colouring with her sisters, who has no red and is more like me. They have exactly the same shade of eye colour- dark blue with a darker ring. Mine have the dark ring but mire green. Genetics are fascinating.

I don't think the ring is that bad. Not as good as say the Queen's. But quite pretty and meaningful to them.
