Carole in a floral jumpsuit and Kate-esque hair at Wimbledon today

MrsOwainGlyndŵr · 29/06/2022 18:49

Well now that’s all I see. Like she’s going to pop out from behind in a pair of black pants.

It's not just me then! You all see it too!

Eaumyword · 29/06/2022 18:56

Oh wow to Carole's floral jumpsuit and white denim jacket-I 💕 that look and want to try it for me, except I've just had tea and feel like a python that ate a buffalo right now 🤭
Leti looks fab as ever (that taupe spotty dress is gorgeous) and Dr B looks amazing too. She looks stunning in that white trouser suit.

KillingMeDeftly · 29/06/2022 18:58

The taupe polka dot dress is a dupe for Julia Roberts' polo ensemble in Pretty Woman!

Maireas · 29/06/2022 18:58

Yes, I like Leti's taupe dress and espadrilles. Not least because her poor feet get a break.

OP posts:
LadyEloise1 · 29/06/2022 19:14

Leti's espadrilles would be grand without the stupid ribbon winding up her legs. 😀

Eaumyword · 29/06/2022 19:28

Oh you know, I think they look pretty on her! Like an elegant ballerina!

RomainingCalm · 29/06/2022 20:16

Just catching up on this thread, so many wonderful outfits from Max.
Don't like the pink trouser suit on Sophie although I do like the pink dress she wore later on at the garden party.

Everyone should have someone that looks at them the way that Wax looks at Max.

RomainingCalm · 29/06/2022 20:20

Sophie's dress at the garden party. Much as I love Anne's no-fuss style she does rather look as if she got dressed in the dark this morning.

That pale pink dress on Sophie is miles nicer than the trouser suit.

I mean this in the kindest possible way, but what is going on with Anne's gloves?! Why are they that colour? Why not black, or teal, or the neutral shade of her hat and coat?

The gloves are understandable in the age of covid (though why not match them to a dress or coat?) but surely royals wearing gloves to avoid touching the plebs is quite outdated?

Maireas · 29/06/2022 20:29

Sophie looks lovely, she really has some good hats. Anne, where are your pale grey gloves? I honestly think she just picks up what's first to hand. Probably only realised what colour they were when she looked at her hands.

Little round up of the NATO dinner last night. Dr B and Mme Macron looking lovely. Group shot looks like a very elegant funeral. Boris sans Carrie which from the POV of our thread is a shame because Carrie gives good gown on the formal front.

Mme Macron reminds me of the dog that sings "He's A Tramp" with her hair like that. Sorry, Mme.

I like Leti's dress.

iknowimcoming · 29/06/2022 20:46

Carole's jumpsuit is Boden and I have it (I rarely post on here mostly a lurker) now I'm thinking I'll get a white denim jacket to go with it! Wink

Maireas · 29/06/2022 20:50

Blimey. Macron looks like he's being held hostage by the Spanish royals.
Mme Macron rarely looks stylish, imo. She seems to go for unflattering colours and proportions.

OP posts:
MotherofPearl · 29/06/2022 20:59

Your comment about Macron the hostage has really made me chuckle @Maireas! I keep looking at the photo and laughing a bit more!

KillingMeDeftly · 29/06/2022 21:04

Hola to the Spanish PM!

CliffsofMohair · 29/06/2022 21:06

Teal is lovely! She favours a pussy bow. She has to walk a tricky path with her dressing, next to her very much younger husband.

Maireas · 29/06/2022 21:10

Strangely, I don't actually think that Brigitte looks older than her husband! She's obviously kept slim and fit, and I always feel for women thrust into the public eye. Particularly a French woman! She's just never caught my eye, style wise.

Oh my god! That is exactly right - I love you lot!😂

gluenotsoup · 29/06/2022 21:19

I agree@Maireas , there’s something about her sense of style that just doesn’t work for me, although she always looks immaculately groomed and takes care of her appearance, but she somehow looks a bit a like a fake catalogue cut out. Sorry B!

Still laughing at this 😂😂
I think Mme Macron is a bit stuck in the era when she probably felt she looked at her best, which maybe looks a little dated now, whereas Leti really embraces a chic modern look.
Absolutely love Sophie's pink dress - she looks fantastic in it.
@iknowimcoming go for it with the denim jacket, I'm sure you'll look fab.

MrsOwainGlyndŵr · 29/06/2022 21:52

Mrs Macron always reminds me of Barbie, and not in a particularly good way.

justasking111 · 29/06/2022 22:15

Mme Macron always reminds me of lady Penelope something puppet like about her
