Ah, just had a proper look at the photos from the Shakerley service and see what you mean about Fergie's outfit. I agree that she looks unwell. Her face looks very puffy, but perhaps she was just hot.

The most elegant guest was Princess Alexandra imo.

Bea and Edo or as I’ve termed them in my head ‘Beado’ at a summer party this evening. Very old school glamour frock

Gosh Fergie does not look well at all - I wonder is she on some cortisone medication, the change in facial appearance feels a bit sudden. But she looks her usual bright and cheery self in the pics so hopefully she is ok!

I think Bea looks great there - very glamorous, with a slight Dynasty vibe (in a good way!).

I like the black belt on Bea ,sort of ties it in with her husbands formal black and white .

Agree that Fergie looks unwell and that maybe steroids are the cause .Apart from the "moon face " effect they can make one behave in an extreme fashion (IME ) .

Fergie's very open about having facial procedures such as botox and fillers, perhaps it's that? Not keen on her jacket, it's a bit eccentric, just like her!

Oh mu gosh, Fergie looks weird - and it's not just the military uniform!

I don't think it's fillers that are making poor Fergie look like that. It's the look some people get when they're on strong medication like steroids. Let's hope she's ok.

After all the discussion about wanting to see more variety of shoes, and some more flats, Fergie is wearing flats in this picture. Unfortunately I don't think it works, heels would have looked more elegant

She’s wearing a skirt so I would generally agree - low to mid heel is best.

But Fergie is also extremely inelegant (sounds much more harsh than I mean it!) and for that reason cannot make anything much look truly good, tbh. She doesn’t seem to be able to carry herself in a way that makes the best of herself.

I hope she’s okay and if she’s ill I certainly wish her well!

And flats (by flats I don’t actually mean completely flat like ballet shoes, I usually mean at least an inch) aren’t necessarily fantastic in and of themselves - they still need to be chosen well to match the outfit and the person and actually look great/interesting and not be fugly or (I hate the word but I’m going to use it...) frumpy.

Oh yes, love Bea’s dress (and her whole look). Love, love love Max’s ensemble (I agree no one does ‘more is more’ than Max — Max to the MAX! Love that gorgeous tiara* as well.

Also agree with others that Mary’s black dress is much better in its second edition. I’m not very keen on nude under black. The bright yellow heels were quite something but I think they worked well.

What a contrast between the Fergie pics over a very short time. I wonder if she's hurt her back. She looks like she's got the "bum out/chest forward/flat shoes compulsory" waddle that I get when I experience muscle spasm, and the 'I'm smiling maniacally so you can't tell I'm actually grimacing" look.
As for the kiss photo, as my DDs would say - it looks like Charlene's been a little bit sick in her mouth.
