Can't say I'm keen on either of those ensembles - Sophie's dress is too 80s and Beatrice looks like the dentist on the USS Enterprise.

Yes @MotherofPearl, the lipstick looks nice on her but it was a much paler colour today.
My Mum is the same - lipstick, a tiny bit of foundation and no eye make up at all.

Did anyone spot the bracelets Camilla is wearing. Not sure if there's a meaning behind them. Interesting though

Not a fan of the odd cut of Bea's dress, though I like the cream colour and the hat is great too.

What's with the fabric of Edo's tailcoat? Looks like very soft cotton that has gone a bit crumply. I'd have expected a stiffer fabric.

I have enjoyed seeing the oceans of top hats and tails actually; it's rare that men look really fancy!

We have been spoilt these last few weeks - so much royal fashion to look at.

The Norwegians are apparently holding a gala dinner on Friday for Ingrid's 18th, with lots of European royals present. Hopefully there will be lots of gowns and tiaras on show.

I love Sarah Chatto's outfit as usual. I don't often see the resemblance with Princess Margaret but I can see it there.

I know what you mean @LadyEloise1. All my elderly female relatives are the same - generally no foundation just loose face powder, plus lipstick.

I was just about to post the same thing, @MotherofPearl! I've never noted the resemblance before, but in that picture, Sarah does look like Margaret.
Those are her mother's earrings as well, worn to all events, also part of her look!

I do like Sarah Chatto's understated style. I think she has a real Windsor look, like HMQ and obviously Margaret.

I'm reading a series of novels about the royals during world war two. Am googling images of the royals mentioned. Princess Mary is interesting, in some pictures I see princess Anne in others Princess Margaret. There were some very handsome princes, dukes as well. I hadn't realised two died in plane crashes

Anne has hardly any grey hair and she's in her 70s. Lucky woman!

Yes, the Duke of Kent (current duke's father) died in a plane crash during the war. I'm not sure who the other royal was. Prince William of Gloucester also died in a plane crash but that was much later, in the 1970s.

RE Princess Anne's hair - I don't think she necessarily dyes it (and it would seem out of character). My DM is 74 and has almost no greys and doesn't dye her hair. Sadly I didn't inherit the no-grey gene and have to work hard to keep on top of my roots.

Kate’s branched out a bit today in a pink suit. I like it a lot and think her makeup looks lovely too (not always the case). Does anyone else think she’s had some dental work recently?

I liked the pink jacket when I saw her sitting behind a desk.. I don't like the full suit though, it's just too.... pink
