Hullo, this dress is so far out of comfort zone it hurts. My usual style of dress is work pencil dress or cheapy sundress. Mostly I kick around in jeans and a T-shirt.

It for Ladies Day at Ascot. Intending to wear it with a pale silver/grey wrap and pale silver/grey barely there heeled sandals.

I'm not sure on it, I have the build of a hedge sparrow and I wonder if this makes me look a little like I'm playing dress up n a Disney Princess dress? It definitely needs a stitch at the bust and I'd obviously wear a different bra (this one is a very padded front close) so I wouldn't look as out of proportion booby.

We can't see many of the pics.
When we went to RAscot we had a long way to travel, so all dressed up for half a day before first race! No hotel standard loos to finish dressing. Last things on train, change shoes after walk from station. I became her pack pony.

Go for comfort, esp if first time, wider straps, tights? especially if hot. It can get chilly after about 4.00, Pashmina?
Mrs Cormorant won't go again. She prefers Wincanton in November.
In the OP you say the netting is wrong so you threaten to remove it. Wondering if it is not enough for full effect. Might you try adding more and really spreading the skirt.
We did see some great racing. Enjoy

Huh. I live ten minutes from Wincanton. Never thought about going to the races there!

I had the pictures removed as I left my face in them. I've decided to go comfy and familiar, as someone said above, I won't enjoy the day of I'm worrying about my look.
