I use tretinoin and LRP Anthelios sun screen. The tretinoin is from an Andorran pharmacy. The UK subscriptions are expensive in comparison. Also I'm very sceptical about a company which gave my daughter and I exactly the same 'prescription' despite having differing needs, differing skin types and obviously a huge age difference (Skin & Me).

Can I ask which pharmacy you bought it from @Tagliatellme

Retirides is no longer available from pharmacy Andorra. I don't know where else to buy it. The skin & me and Dermatica only sell tiny amounts and people seem to use it daily which doesn't sound like good advice in the beginning.

Tagliatellme · 28/04/2022 13:04

Of course. I buy it here:

Thanks

I ordered 3 tubes a couple of weeks ago and they came in less than 7 days. The website is very clunky though!

I use the Skin + Me Tret, just start slowly and back off if your skin gets sore. Re the HRT, my periods had nearly stopped, now I'm on HRT I have them again, which isn't great, but I feel a lot better in myself. The periods seem to have settled down to only last 4 days. You could see what your GP thinks. I'd look at your makeup, see if it needs to change, or if you're still wearing what you wore years ago. I feel like I need more blusher these days. Eyebrows can disappear, mine have become very thin, so I get them microbladed. I'm growing out my hair colour and trying to accept my greys, but I think a good hair cut is needed if going down this route so as not to look straggely.

Would.you mind linking to the product and explain how to.use at all.
Ive ordered.from.dermatica, and given its cost pm , i may have to cancel it as i cant afford that at the imedeem tabs as it wd be over 50pm excluding any other skin care, make up or hair stuff . Thank you !

I've started using facial tanning serum or oil drops which gets rid of that grey-white skin tone when your skin thins.

Nivea Q10 day cream and pore cream are brilliant.

Still not found the perfect shampoo.

Thanks all for advice !
Have found out that am undermedicated on the tyroid meds so that is a likely culprit too !

Please try co-washing to add strength and gloss to your hair. You might need to try a few different products and techniques but it's so worth it. My thin, straight hair feels so much more 'alive' and luscious.
Also biotin - cheap as chips too.

Chewchewaboogiw · 04/05/2022 19:27

Thanks .. i cant take biotin as it affects thyroid meds but will try the other thing😀

I've just started Tret with Dermatica (only on day 2) and they've sent me a code, I think for a free first month and 25% off month two, if anyone wants it -

Thanks for amazing replies!
Re hrt. I went thro this about 5 yrs ago. I sailed thro it . Periods just stopped. V few hot flushes. I had period dysmophia and it was such a relief the drop in hormone that made life a misery post ovulation every month.
Due to these factors I didnt consider hrt as I felt i didnt need it.
So some people go on it simply for anti aging benefits rather than to relieve symptoms such as hot flushes. ? I am not sure my gp wd allow me to have hrt if i am.5 years down the line / for anti ageing purposes?

You need to go over to the menopause and read up on HRT. It's about your now and future body as opposed to your then symptoms.

Libertybear80 · 05/05/2022 05:53

HRT? That's the best thing.
