Is there anything worth trying for this (pic attached) other than Botox? Or a radical fringe 🤦‍♀️😂

I wear Frownies to sleep every night, they have made a marked, actually, massive improvement to my eleven lines between my brows. I frown in my sleep though, so I don't know if that contributes to yours or not.

For what it's worth, it really isn't that bad, you look like you have lovely skin and eyebrows. I really wouldn't worry, OP.

VerandaSanta · 03/04/2022 19:51

And hair, too!

dreammattemousse · 03/04/2022 20:32

I've just started doing face yoga
It is basically trying to train the forehead muscles to stay still in daily life
A kind of natural Botox

Worth a go .. lots on YouTube

IvorCutler · 03/04/2022 20:43

I have the same. Retinol works reasonably well. I’ve seen the same line on people much younger than me (I’m 38), so I’m not going to sweat it.

byvirtue · 03/04/2022 21:04

Sorry but Botox! They are expressive lines the more you move your face over time the deeper they get. Botox puts on the breaks for a period. I had a deep vertical line like yours I get Botox 3 times a year and I can barely see it now. I have an expressive face It will come back eventually but Botox kicks it down the road a bit!

Annoy · 03/04/2022 21:09

I have them worse than you, I’m 38. I’m just embracing them as I think trying to ‘fix’ then would become a nightmare I’m not willing to have.

You have lovely eye brows By the way

RedRobin100 · 03/04/2022 21:12

Oh my god I hate my lines so much. Would love to try something to make them less awful

BasiliskStare · 03/04/2022 21:21

I have had the 11 lines since I was younger than you - (Oh hang on another poster said maybe 38 yr old so do not know your age) & thought about all sorts of things. The only thing I would say is I bet a pound to a box of oranges you notice them more than anyone else does. As I have become older bizarrely they seem to have got less noticeable. I think mine are genetic - my mother has them too.
I think the non invasive ideas are worth trying first ( but just my opinion) & also if you had not pointed it out I would not have looked at your photograph and home in on the vertical line. But I realise one looks at ones face and see things others don't

I think your forehead eyebrows etc look fabulous. All best Flowers

RiverSkater · 03/04/2022 21:37

You need The Ordinary Argireline which will soften that line. Retin long term. Massage it for a minute each at too.

HulaTallulah · 03/04/2022 21:43

Botox was the only thing that worked for me. My lines were much deeper though, yours are not bad at all Smile

jeaux90 · 04/04/2022 00:09

Botox. It's made an amazing difference.
I also have a little filler on one vertical line that was bad, way worse than yours though

Thatswhatmamasaid · 04/04/2022 05:17

I'm the same age, I've been using tretinoin for over a year now and I've done a course of microneedling which have definitely helped soften my forehead lines. I did botox for the first time two weeks ago and it has made the biggest difference, I'm loving the results now that it has settled.

saveahorserideacowboy · 04/04/2022 06:02

Thanks all. I’m 34 🙈🥴🥴. I’m going to look into these suggestions. Not quite ready for the Botox route yet I don’t think !

Are they these? amzn.to/3DFcXYl

I've never heard of them before? They actually work for you? How long have you been using them?

RiverSkater · 04/04/2022 11:50

I forgot about Frownies, yes these too!!

DrEllie · 04/04/2022 11:53

I just use ordinary plasters instead of frownies, not glamorous but hey!

5329871e · 04/04/2022 12:07

I know you said you’re not ready for Botox, but it’s really not so bad!

I’m not into beauty treatments (never had eyebrows done/nails/waxing/micro-whatever) but I decided to have Botox because I was spending so much time squinting at the computer that I developed wrinkles. (I’m happy with the smiley wrinkles but I don’t like the frowny ones.)

Got it done at my usual dentist and it was fantastic. A single treatment wiped out my frown lines. The actual Botox only lasts 6 months (in that it paralyses the muscles for 6 months) but my frown has relaxed and the wrinkles haven’t come back.

Also in my 30’s, if that helps.

balancebeam · 04/04/2022 12:17

Botox might soften the horizontal lines, and the vertical line but they look static to me, so they won't completely get rid of them. You might be able to have filler in the 11 line, but my clinic doesn't like to do that.

Micro needling might help a little. Creams won't help, tretinoin might soften if you're not in a hurry- several months to a couple of years to notice improvement.

balancebeam · 04/04/2022 12:21

That sounds negative reading back. They're really not that bad, the lines.

Dramateacher1 · 04/04/2022 12:55

I’m 38 and have the same - but 2 very deep ones. I’m genuinely considering Botox, just wish it was cheaper!!!

ArtVandalay · 04/04/2022 14:15

I had 2 of those lines. Botox got rid of them. It will also sort out forehead lines.

I'd say you're wasting your money on anything else.

carefullycourageous · 04/04/2022 14:17

I don't see anything other than a small and normal line.

Do not get botox - people who have it think they look fine but they look weird. Botox looks worse than a wrinkle/line does. Honestly.

Ilostit · 04/04/2022 14:18

I think Botox. I’m 41 and have zero lines I don’t Botox but use suncream and regular hydra facials

balancebeam · 04/04/2022 14:24

I actually think the singular '11' line, though deep, looks far less noticeable than the static horizontal lines.

Botox will soften (it's not a miracle cure for static lines) but you might need it renewing every 3-4 months. I was always advised to get it done before normal movement resumed entirely, for best effect.

Do frownies contain medication?
