Morning all - I rarely post but I know I've got old when I have to come on and comment that I think Kate's dress looks great but ........ wasn't she cold? Most women wearing wool coats or the dreaded coat dress, I think this was one time she should've worn a coat dress! Confusedmaybe she had some Uber thin thermals on underneath Wink Also I love her hat but it looks more suited to a wedding imo, as you were Grin

Motherdare · 31/03/2022 10:03

I was wondering the same. Pretty cold in London at the moment. She must have had thermals on underneath. I know we’re not supposed to comment on her physique but she is so incredibly slender that she must surely feel the cold. I imagine the abbey to be freezing too.

LadyEloise1 · 31/03/2022 10:30

She may have had an M&S or Uniqlo Heatgen vest on underneath. They are brilliant.

scottishnames · 31/03/2022 18:31

Mangosteen No, no, no! Lady Louise looks fine as she is - so do most young men and women. The very last thing they need is 'product' messing with them. Make up is probably needed, I am sure, for certain photos and the stage, but otherwise I think most people look better without it.

Horological · 31/03/2022 18:47

Everything I have read about Penny Mountbatten/Romsey/Knatchbull seems to hint very strongly that she and Prince Phillip were very close friends indeed for many years. I thought they lived together at Wood Cottage at Sandringham.

Horological · 31/03/2022 18:52

My post has been hidden for mentioning something that several other people on this thread have brought up. Not to mention many other newspapers have strongly hinted at for many years. I am really shocked and surprised that I have been censored. This thread must be being monitored, as my post was hidden immediately.

I think I have been on MN for 13 years or so. I am really disappointed and upset.

Horological · 31/03/2022 18:58

Apologies to those on this thread. I know this thread is for chatting about royal style (which is what I enjoy about it) and I strayed from the topic.

No apologies to MN though. It's downright sinister that this thread is being monitored.

scottishnames · 31/03/2022 19:15

Axes? Grinding?

Maireas · 31/03/2022 19:25

@Nnique - CPV Steel Cut Tiara ✔️

Remember, Regal Ones, get your favourite tiara ready for Easter/Passover/Eid/Spring Festival whatever.
It's not right to celebrate without.

It is weird. Nobody has said anything remotely unreasonable on this thread, it's a lovely place to be.
I sometimes stray to the wild side of MN for fun and omg, the things that get said on other parts of the site are ShockShock but are left up.
I do love an M&S heatgen undergarment. Marvellous for this crazy weather, whilst still being able to wear smart clothes.

Eaumyword · 31/03/2022 19:37

Ooh @Maireas - tiaras on whilst we celebrate whatever this time means for you!
For me, I shall be wearing mine and watching Ben Hur for the gazillionth time, whilst stuffing an Easter egg breakfast. Classy Wink
We've finished for the Easter hols now after an exhausting week, culminating in an Easter egg hunt in the snow(!) and shouty bingo with 150 small children.

Maireas · 31/03/2022 19:42

@Eaumyword - you deserve diamonds aplenty for doing that! I have exams and coursework to mark over Easter, but am determined to watch some mindless tv, eat too much and read in bed as well. All while wearing Queen Ena's Legacy bracelets and Alexandra's Kokoshnik tiara 😉

Princess Diana apparently used to layer Damart Thermolactyl undergarments underneath her dresses,. Google tells me they still make them, so maybe William passed this information onto Kate Grin

gluenotsoup · 31/03/2022 20:10

It’s the Dutch Diamond bandeaux for me, with my Kindle for me. I think most of my family our coming for Easter dinner, as we had a very Covid Christmas and so still have a turkey to use. I might have to try and springtime it up a bit. 😳

gluenotsoup · 31/03/2022 20:12

I love your choice in tiaras, Maireas. ❤️

MotherofPearl · 31/03/2022 21:17

We're spending the Easter break in Scotland, so I feel that my Fife tiara is especially appropriate. Will it withstand long walks in the Scottish countryside, and lots of jigsaw building sessions?

gluenotsoup · 31/03/2022 21:25

Bandeau. This one. Don’t know what’s happening to my spelling skills lately🤫

My friends might be slightly puzzled as to why I am wearing my newly acquired moonstone meander for our Easter break but I don't care I can eat chocolate and chat by the fire while wearing it and it will set off my jeans and wooly-pully beautifully.

I love not bit also it strongly reminds me of The Girl from Tomorrow
CliffsofMohair · 01/04/2022 04:21

Argh autocorrect. Or as it tried to correct itself to just now ‘hair porridge’.

That should read ‘I love it and also has a frisson of Alanna from Girl from Tomorrow about it.

StartupRepair · 01/04/2022 07:57

CPM has been spotted shopping in Melbourne. Here for a few days to see family and friends.

Hah, that brings back memories. What was the band called? A transponder? I loved that show!
Runningupthecurtains · 01/04/2022 10:49

Ha ha, definitely not going to be (imagining) wearing it low on forehead, has to be an updo and tucked in the hair job.
