Or necklaces

Personally, not fan. They catch on EVERYTHING. Too heavy. Easily made dirty, charms catch the dust etc. Hard to clean.

Pandora - had its day IMO. Never liked the style. Cheaply made bracelet catches the hairs on your arm.

BoodleBug51 · 24/03/2022 09:23

Agree with the PP that they're awful for catching in your clothing.

I've got loads of Annie Haak bracelets and wear them in a stack. They're more easy to wear. They've all got different sort of charms on but it's very delicate and not clumpy. www.anniehaakdesigns.co.uk/bracelets/bracelet-stacks

I don't like the great big heavy ones like Pandora etc. I do like the tiny light ones with flat charms that little girls wear - I had one as a child and adored it.

When dc were small I got a Thomas Sabo gold charm bracelet for Mother's Day one year and dh helped them to fill it with beautiful (bloody expensive charms as they're all gold) charms. I really love it and I enjoyed wearing it for years.

I got out of the habit them, must dust it off and give it a wear again soon.

I don't like the Pandora style charms myself. I love the minute details in the more traditional style ones. We bought my mum a pandora as she really wanted one and she had to bring it back as it kept snagging the hairs on her arms and she couldn't bear wearing it!

UniBallEye · 24/03/2022 09:27

My Thomas Sabo charms are mostly birds and animals! Love them

FluffEverywhere · 24/03/2022 09:36

I have a Pandora bracelet with one special charm on it that contains some pet hair, but not a fan of the multiple-charm look!

CottonPyjamas · 24/03/2022 09:37

I have a Nomination charm bracelet. Rather than dangly charms, each one is a link. It doesn't catch

Gonnagetgoing · 24/03/2022 09:40

I had one as a teenager - it was pretty.

Nana (DM's mum) was known for having gold charm bracelets in 50s/60s which she got the nickname 'jingle jangle' for. She was bought charms by husband/relatives. I have both of them and can't stand them, might sell them.

Shabtipup · 24/03/2022 09:58

If you mean Pandora, I think they're the height of chavvy / tacky 😬 can't stand them

LovelyYellowLabrador · 24/03/2022 09:59

Oh I’ll have to Google

Most charm bracelets are very naff. Especially pandora. I loathe Pandora actually. I do love fable jewellery though!

SpicePumpkin · 24/03/2022 10:21

Is it for a present for yourself or someone else?

SpicePumpkin · 24/03/2022 10:23

Here's my recommendations for some small business, contemporary jewellers.

I don't like Pandora at all, but I do have an old-fashioned silver charm bracelet that was a present from an old boyfriend twenty years ago. I've added charms to it over the years (and lost a few during drunken nights at university). It is is a bit of a pain to wear, but it's very nice with the right outfit. I like to collect charms that represent particular things to me.

PutinIsAWarCriminal · 24/03/2022 10:26

I love my pandora bracelet, I've had it for years and wears it all the time. Each charm means something to me and has been brought as a gift. Thank goodness we don't all like the same thing. Love how the snobs label something they don't like as chavy!

Viviennemary · 24/03/2022 10:30

Pandora is ok for schoolchildren but not for adults. And the ridiculous inflated prices for what is basically tat.

ImAvingOops · 24/03/2022 10:30

I think they are pretty. I regret getting rid of all my old gold charms now - the charms used to catch and get on my nerves, and they were old fashioned and I didn't fully appreciate them at the time. I do still have the bracelet though, which I wear by itself.
Be careful not to buy a bracelet which catches your skin - I also had a Pandora style charm bracelet which drove me nuts because it was to uncomfortable to wear.
I think I like the idea more than the reality tbh.

Those Fable England animal charms are lovely!
SommerTen · 24/03/2022 10:48

I've got a silver Thomas Sabo charm bracelet & each charm means something to me. I rarely wear it though.

bookbuddy · 24/03/2022 10:53

I love my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet but it can get caught on clothes so I only wear it occasionally! I also have a beaded one which holds a couple of charms which I wear everyday, it’s much easier to wear and stack.

UniBallEye · 24/03/2022 10:53

I've looked up the Fable England charms and I like them too!
I'm not a fan of the nomination bracelets either
