Short hair but not sensible!

I'm considering going short, but struggling to find ideas that don't look 'sensible'.
What short haircuts are fun and not too ageing?
I've spent time on Pinterest but I struggle seeing hair separate from made up models!

I have fine hair and glasses, I don't want to age myself, kids are doing it for me anyway .

I don't think short hair aged me but I never went without earrings and I wore make-up more ( or I felt a bit blokey )

Indeed - I only felt i looked good with short hair if I was made up/dressed up. Which was a pain at times

And on a daily basis I see women with long hair who would look so much better if their hair were short.

Yes me too, I’m always doing it! Kate Middleton has lovely long hair too but she could look so cool and stylish with short hair - I imagine it every time I see a pic of her.

I think celebs are far more likely than the rest of us to try short hair, even if only for a while, maybe because they tend to be beautiful and know it’s unlikely to look terrible. And a lot of them look fantastic with it. Rihanna, Lupita Nyong'o, Carey mulligan, Jennifer Hudson, Emma Watson, loads of them have done it brilliantly (besides MW of course).

I would definitely try short hair again if my hair dresser came round every morning to style it (maybe this explains why celebs are more likely to try short hair, they’re probably styled by professionals before photos and appearances). But I could never make short hair look cool and edgy myself. Everyone told me short hair is easy to style but I couldn’t make it work.
