Can I ask what works for you if you have dark circles under eyes?

I’ve been using the eclait highlighter, but it doesn’t really seem to do much now.

What works for you?

No idea so I'm commenting so I can also see what works 😂

Summerhillsquare · 22/03/2022 12:02

Just bought some Pixi Peach Flash, seems good though a light touch.

ColdSeptember · 22/03/2022 12:03

The most helpful thing I find is not looking in the mirror as much (sort of lighthearted). I'd love to know what works and doesn't end up sitting in wrinkles looking cakey.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 22/03/2022 12:03

Sunglasses.

Only thing that hides ‘em.

Hoping for better suggestions…

nearlyspringyay · 22/03/2022 12:04

I use Benefit Boing, but over moisturiser so it doesn't cake.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 22/03/2022 12:04

Typology concealer, in a shade lighter than my tinted serum (also Typology). Works a treat!

MadeForThis · 22/03/2022 12:21

Nothing so far.

frugalkitty · 22/03/2022 12:39

Nothing. Best combo for me is a sweep of longwear foundation patted in with a dab of tarte shapetape blended over the top but even this doesn't actually hide them.

PoisonedHotChocolate · 22/03/2022 12:55

Just bought the YSL High Cover and I'm not blown away tbh. The original is a highlighter, so will highlight the dark circles.

You need a colour corrector first, but also use a good serum designed for dark circles, like the Ordinary Caffeine serum. It definitely helps a bit.

firealarmhell · 22/03/2022 12:57

I swear by Benefit's erase paste renamed to brightening concealer in the round pot. Unfortunately they've discontinued it! I'm looking at colour correctors from Pixie and Revolution as potential dupes

Leftbutcameback · 22/03/2022 13:02

I use a pink corrector before a concealer. I don’t have traditional dark circles (bluish) but pigmentation instead (more brown). I use MUA correcting cream in peach, and then bourgeois healthy mix. I need to make sure under eyes are well moisturised first, and also it doesn’t last more than a few hours, but it’s the best combination I’ve found

Leftbutcameback · 22/03/2022 13:02

And the only thing that makes them less noticeable is a tan!

No it won't. It would highlight bags, but would bounce light from shadowy areas.

If dark circles are from shadows they'll be harder to cover than dark circles from highly pigmented skin

Crunched · 22/03/2022 13:05

It 'ByeBye Undereye' is undoubtedly the most effective I've ever tried.

Leftbutcameback · 22/03/2022 13:08

@streamee - interested to hear you say that re pigmentation. I’ve always felt mine are so hard to cover because they are huge and dark. When I see people with dark shadows they look much more subtle. Maybe I’m just too self conscious about them!

When you look into a light do they go away? If so, it's due to shadows, if not it's pigmentation.

Unfortunately, I have both issues! And a fairly hollow orbital bones Sad

Notjustamum28 · 22/03/2022 13:32

can i suggest using a really good cleanser/cleansing routine too. not properly getting rid of yesterdays eye make up can make dark circles appear even worse.

LillyBugg · 22/03/2022 13:42

I use Collection Lasting Concealer. It's the only thing I've found that lasts all day. I do have to be careful to blend it into my cheeks though.

I hate the circles around my eyes. They are brown like the other PP's have said. I'm so self conscious about it, I literally wouldn't leave the house without concealer covering them.

Tinkletwat · 22/03/2022 13:51

I'm using this at the moment and it's the best thing I've tried in a while

www.itcosmetics.co.uk/face/concealer/bye-bye-under-eye-concealer/ITC_0005.html

Had previously tried that Becca one that was popular but didn't like how sticky and pale it was. Nars creamy concealer wasn't doing much and the latest Bobbi Brown one made my eyes water. The IT Cosmetics one doesn't sit in lines and you doing need much so will probably repurchase, good shade range too.

Lovinglife45 · 22/03/2022 14:10

MAC concealer. I have used this for almost 20 years. It blends with my skin perfectly.

Nothing else comes close.

Around £21 and lasts for months despite everyday use.

Coffeencrochet · 22/03/2022 14:14

Commenting to see other suggestions. I've just ordered the Revolution brightening corrector in deep, supposedly a dupe for the Becca one. My undereyes are more greyish brown like I've just been in a fight, and get comments on my no makeup days asking if I'm okay BlushGrin

fairgame84 · 22/03/2022 14:16

Nars concealer over foundation. I bake it on with Laura mercier setting powder and they vanish.

Lottapianos · 22/03/2022 14:23

Becca Colour Corrector, Glossier Stretch Concealer on top. Sometimes just the Glossier alone. Neither sit in my lines

Gonnagetgoing · 22/03/2022 19:20

I’ve tried the MAC concealer and benefit boing.

Funnily enough I’ve sometimes used Rimmel
match perfection concealer over either the Mac or benefit one and that’s worked well.

Also, try using Clinique for men caffeine roller ball after it (or before) to depuff.

I also use Chanel le crayon kohl Clair in inner rims and it knocks any other nude inner eye pencil out of the park. Amazing.

Raisingawolfpack · 22/03/2022 19:40

Another one for collection lasting conceler. It really does last, but I agree that blending it in is important, but then that's because of the coverage being good. I also have used a pinkier tone to colour correct the blueness from my dark circles. It's just such a good price really, though I would say it can be on the chalky side. So I suppose depends how hard core with coverage you want to go.
