Can I ask what works for you if you have dark circles under eyes?

I’ve been using the eclait highlighter, but it doesn’t really seem to do much now.

What works for you?

Sukin eye brightener daily. When wearing makeup - benefit eye beam (highlighter) then Bobbi brown under eye colour corrector - with ysl touched eclat full coverage on top.

Can leave out any of those except the bb colour corrector - that's what tones it out most / non crepey (make sure you get the new stick). It's supposed to be slightly darker than your skin so you should use a concealer over the top but I think you can use any concealer - I have the nars one too.

I use clinique airbrush concealer in medium, which I thought was much too orangey for my skin but in fact is massively better for me than the fair shade that I previously thought was right. I was astonished when the woman in Boots told me that was the right shade but it has been great. Take their advice in the shop!

Beautypie Under Eye Genius is the only thing that comes close to covering mine.

Rummikub · 22/03/2022 21:04

Used to use ysl
But now use maybelline eraser.
Plus taking iron as I read that deficiency makes circles worse

Retinol eye cream at night and vit c serum in the day to help pigmentation. Tear trough filler to fill out the hollows where the shadows lie.

Jamboree01 · 22/03/2022 21:56

Does ‘dark circles’ mean ‘bags’? I am always confused by this and end up wishing I had dark circles rather than bags lol

Rummikub · 22/03/2022 22:14

I don’t think they’re the same thing
Bags look puffy?

declutteringmymind · 22/03/2022 22:20

I've been using Tranexamic acid serum from Superdrug which seems to have improved them a little.

Fillers do help plump them out but for me the risks are too high.

AfterSchoolWorry · 22/03/2022 22:22

Tear trough fillers.

30not13 · 22/03/2022 22:27

This palette has lots of different shades to try I find the orange works better on my circles where previously had been told by benefit to use yellow

Benefit boing. Smile

Tear trough filler

Noglassjustthebottleandastraw · 22/03/2022 22:44

For the past few days, I have been making sure I drink plenty of water and doing face yoga videos on YouTube. To be honest I didn't think it would work but it has. My dark bags are definitely lighter.

nongnangning · 22/03/2022 22:59

Another vote for the IT Cosmetics concealer

BellaNutella88 · 23/03/2022 06:52

I use the Bobby Brown corrector and have been for a few months. The pot looks tiny but it lasted well. It needs a good concealer over though and I’m still searching for the right concealer for me ! I for a little while even the corrector wasn’t quite cutting it but I’ve been working on skincare and drinking more water again and it seems a bit better ! Still not found the perfect combination to completely hide them though.

stayathomer · 23/03/2022 06:55

I know people hate hearing people saying drink more water and sleep but I have started putting my phone away earlier and drinking more water and my dark circles have definitely lessened, to the extent that people are starting to actively say am looking well! Rimmel concealer (radiance one) and cerave eye cream too

MistyFuckingQuigley · 23/03/2022 07:02

@CeeCeeDeeBee

Typology concealer, in a shade lighter than my tinted serum (also Typology). Works a treat!
Ooh I've not heard of this brand, looks good.
BigButtons · 23/03/2022 07:02

Tear trough filler.

I've had dark circles all my life despite good diet, plenty of fresh air and so on. Tried every concealer available when I was younger, nothing worked.

Now I'm in my 60s and don't care any more. And the dark circles seem to have largely gone! Personally I think it's down to good old fashioned sleep; my life is much quieter now, I have no family to look after and only work shortened hours so I can sleep as much as I want. And extraordinarily, I appear to require 9 solid hours' sleep every night! Couldn't do that when I was younger as I wouldn't have been able to do everything I had to do every day, but it does seem that now I can choose to sleep as long as my body needs, the dark circles have finally gone....

MistyFuckingQuigley · 23/03/2022 07:06

Yes to having a tan. I use those tanning drops in my moisturiser to give my pasty white skin a bit of colour, that helps a bit. I always look great when I'm on holiday! Just not the other 50 weeks of the year Hmm

Chocomelon · 23/03/2022 07:11

A corrector

My favourites are no longer available

Bobbi Brown is ok and available in a range of shades

Blimeyherewegoagain · 23/03/2022 07:26

I’ve stopped wearing contact lenses and gone back to glasses!

ihatethecold · 23/03/2022 07:55

For those of you that have had tear trough fillers. What was it like?
Does it last?
Was it expensive?
How did you find a reputable clinician?

streamee · 23/03/2022 07:59

@IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble

That's a fantastic product. I have to mix the two shades though which is annoying
