I like the pink dress! I agree it looks a bit Jane Seymour tarot reading c 1980.

I think Belize must be tricky to dress for actually, with the humidity and climate, plus it’s not a wealthy country, with a lot of poverty and income disparity. With that in mind, she’s treading a fine line between looking like royalty and not looking too ostentatious. So, although some of the VW things are not my first choice, nor the earrings, I do think they’re about the right tone. I also think she’s gone straighter to avoid the frizz, probably a Brazilian blow dry like others have mentioned. Putting her hair up would avoid it too, but as long as it’s simple I think, for this particular tour. Unless they suddenly pull a big, lavish occasion out of the bag elsewhere on tour. We can live in hope of a gem or three. 😊

I've just seen some footage after it had got dark and the dress comes into its own, the shimmer works much better than in daylight.

I think she looked dressed for a ball and William didn't, so, I agree with @SeaRabbit that Kate was overdressed for the occasion. A very rare fail.

Yes. Just some small, appropriate jewellery. I think a nod to the flag is sweet, but you don’t have to literally swathe yourself in it!

I think the point of the earrings was to dress it down. More expensive earrings and an up do would be too much. This was a pretty dress with an evening shimmer to it.

She has some nice yellow frocks. Actually, I full skirted 50’s inspired yellow print with a slash neckline would look nice… going off to find something for her… not that she cares😂

I’ve decided a green handbag would be acceptable as long as there’s no green in clothing or footwear. I do absolutely love a dark green handbag!

The yellow Wimbledon dress would be perfect for the Caribbean. It's not overly formal but it's perfectly appropriate for jet disembarkation in hot weather.

It looks as though Wills hit the sartorial note more acutely than Kate for last night's reception. But that said, Kate’s shimmering pink dress looked good as darkness fell, so that fabric was a clever choice.
I liked the fluted sleeves, and the narrow fitted shape showed her trim figure to advantage, it’s a typical Vampire's Wife dress.

It will be interesting to see how far Kate takes diplomatic dressing for her arrival outfit in 🇯🇲 Jamaica 🇯🇲

I'm pretty sure my Barbie doll had that dress in the late 80s. I love it, but she's definitely overdressed.

I think black shoes would be perfect. Block heels please, Kate! Since you wore stilettos last time...Or flats. Or a mid heel!! Anything but vertiginous courts!

(Unless she actually is wearing yellow. Then black shoes would be a little too heavy...but not yellow shoes too please!)

Thanks for the Anne retrospective, JMJ, some great looks there. I really like the brocade coat, what an elegant outfit. Also the hat with the flowers.

It was the outfit she wore to Harry and Meghan's wedding, quite a departure, but very stylish.
