Dungarees 👀

I'm 28, a mother of 3.

I've been eyeing up dungarees since last year. My OH thought that was quite amusing as our toddlers have many pairs and so he associate's them to said toddlers.

I finally thought 'fuck it' I like them so bought some today, denim.

Would you wear denim dungarees or do you think they're best left for the kids 😂

I love my Lucy and yak ones. I have done in navy and also black cotton. So comfy and easy to breastfeed my youngest in. Go for it!

I do think they tend to make adults look like massive toddlers-sorry!

Alot of the mums round here wear them and the only time I've ever thought someone looked good in theirs was my tall, size six colleague but I'm fairly certain she'd look wonderful in a Hessian sack..

I absolutely associate them with toddler clothes. I even find it weird they go up to age 16 when I buy them for my 2yo. I'm 30 and would never wear them. I live in jumpsuits though which actually probably isn't much different?

Reread my post and it feels too judgy to me. Honestly- wear what you want to!! I think dungarees are daft but I live in a variety of oversized knits that are so worn people are going to start wondering if I have a home to go to.. so I'm not in any position to criticise

I had about 5 sets, however I completely went off them and have given them all to charity. I dislike the look of them now, but wear what you want!

Yeah, I associate them with toddlers too. #teamOH.

I have those, they are really comfy and a nice fit, I’m short so I have to roll them up a little but they still look good. I think I have 6 or 7 pairs of run and fly 😬

I'm 54 so didn't want to spend too much in case I felt ridiculous in them, I got a denim pair from Sainsbury's, I've had nothing but compliments about them. I may get another pair, but nothing too wild.

I'm nearly 40 and I've got 2 pairs of lucy and yak.

MIL is appalled by them. So I always be sure to wear them to her house, paired with my doc martens.

I love my denim ones - very easy to wear and way more comfortable than jeans. Not a fan of Lucy and Yak (on me) or Run & Fly.

I love the galaxy ones 🤣, most of mine are the plain cord and denim but I do have 2 parented pairs and I get loads of nice comments when I wear them.

I have white stuff denim ones. Super comfy. Wouldn’t wear them for a work meeting, fine for most zooms. I kind of DGAF.

I have several pairs and that dinosaur material in a pinafore.
I don't care what anyone thinks.

Oh dear, I specifically bought myself two stripey tops to wear with them. One white with black stripes and the other black with white stripes 😂

That’s really interesting - I’ve got about four pairs but I also feel like I’m going off them. The only pair I absolutely love are some wide leg cropped faded black ones I got on Depop that are nipped in at the waist and look very cute. The others can all go as far as I’m concerned.

Maybe dungarees are a phase we go through?!

Let us know if you stick them on depop or vinted, I'll have alllllll the dungarees
