Hit me with your “most comfortable shoes ever” recommendations

I’m 44, and in the past year all my shoes give me sore feet. Not blisters/rubbing kind of soreness, just a general pain and ache in my bones type pain.
Could be because I’m getting old and I’m fat… but the only shoes that don’t hurt me at the moment are my Birkenstocks!

For the summer try Crocs flip-flops. I hate flip-flops generally but they’re shaped rather than flat and so comfy. They not massive and clumpy either - they don’t look like crocs if that makes sense!

I used to wear heels all the time but now live in Vivobarefoot, Nike free, Doc Martens and Kurt Geiger, Clarks and Office knee boots

I bought these to put in my new boots and they are now so comfy to wear. they will of course make your shoes a bit tighter but my boots were a size larger than normal as they didn't have my boots in my usual size

I’ve recently bought their Street Tray high top trainers in two different colours, and rarely wear anything else.

Hotter, crocs, esp lite riders, literally like walking on clouds... used to wear orthotics but not needed to for a while now... crocs platform flip flops also amazing and thick band over arch so no claw toe action... bliss

I have some lovely Camper Chelsea boots which fit like a glove.
But really it's such an individual thing, finding the right shaped footwear. My friend loves Fly but I can't even get them on my feet. The same with DMs, I love the look but every time I've tried them on in the shop they hurt like hell. I lusted after a black sequined pair for ages and was bitterly disappointed when I finally tried them on at how much they hurt and that was before I'd even taken a step in them.

Adding voice for barefoot shoes. Normal shoes and trainers feel ridiculous and much too restrictive and unnatural to me. I'm evangelical about barefoot shoes now!

Sketchers.

Fitflop Riley trainers, after a recommendation on here, have become my new favourites. Sooooo comfy and they look nice too.

Geox shoes are great. I have a couple of pairs and they are like walking on air.

Everything Skechers ever made. From trainers to gorgeous oxblood leather ankle boots that get complimented all the time and no one knows they are uncool Skechers. Skechers really are like wandering around with feet wrapped in duvets all day long.

They sound lovely, would you be able to share a link or picture? I didn't thinkSkechers did leather boots.

@petcurls. I looked them up and they don't seem to be making that particular boot anymore. Everything they do at the moment seems to have that thick wedge-like sole that is a bit more obviously skecher-ish. These boots look more normal.

I stand on my feet for 12 hours at a time at work and I wear boots by Embassy London. Never have to break them in and they are just so comfortable.

Clark's Funny Dream, but nor do n brown as the leather is hard. The black as soo soft and comfortable. I have a lot of issues with my feet and I can walk for miles in them.
