Mine is now:
Much more casual - previously very dressy

No bras anymore, just bra-tops - underwired bras before

Comfy shoes and trainers - previously mostly heels

Less patterns, more block colours

I feel like I've lost my dressing mojo 😪

Before I wouldn't of even walked to the local shop without make up on , now it's more of a shock for anyone to see me wearing it !
I work from home and aside from walking the dogs and taking my daughter to the stables I literally don't get dressed up anymore
I keep telling myself next week I'll go back "to normal " but I don't know what that is anymore tbh

I’ve lost a lot weight, and have rediscovered clothes I last wore years ago. Unfortunately although those clothes are in great condition they’re no longer fashionable. I’ve also shrunk out of clothes which I was saving for best and they are barely worn. I have now taken my too big clothes and my out of date clothes to the charity shop and am now wearing nice comfortable clothes every day even when I don’t leave the house. I’d rather wear my clothes out than take them unworn to a charity shop. Having said that I only wear casual things, but i don’t wear leggings or blue jeans.

bigfatmeerkat · 27/02/2022 23:50

More Lycra - stretchy trousers rather than fitted. More shirts - purely because they haven't been worn for 2 years. And trainers - used to wear them on the tube and change to heels, I don't change now. I love heels but didn't realise how uncomfortable they are - car to bar only now.

CheesePlantMurderer · 28/02/2022 07:19

@sabusays supermarkets mostly! Tesco and sainsburys.

Deathraystare · 28/02/2022 15:46

Better hair. Regular cut and colour. More colourful clothes. Somewhat smarter!

Bimbil19 · 28/02/2022 16:01

@Shuffleuplove "I walk like a bloke who has wet his pants" has actually made me cry with laughter!!

riverpebbles · 28/02/2022 17:09

I have become much much more outre in my clothing choices. I got so bored of myself and my clothes in lockdown that last summer I changed my style completely. Now I wear bold clashing colours, mixed prints, big accessories. Told the hairdresser 'I want people to think, she's a bit weird'. Love my style now and feel much more me.

LifesTooShortForYourNonsense · 28/02/2022 18:02

I’m loving it. No longer have to do ‘office wear’ which was v traditional, I’m now self employed. Wear joggers and hoodies at home - far more productive! And more considered separates for office - yes, some nice knitwear, it’s more relaxed so things I want to wear rather than have to. Going out I’m really liking the dressed down lux, cashmere hoodies, silk tops, leather trainers. It’s great, feel much happier with my wardrobe.

CountryMouse22 · 28/02/2022 19:36

Style? What style?

Imissmoominmama · 28/02/2022 19:46

All my clothes are now merino or bamboo. My shoes are all walking type/trail runners. My coats are chosen for their technical features.

My new nights out are spent in a tent or bivvy bag.

I’m bloody loving it! Grin

Well this might sound odd, but i figured life is too short to compromise, and since I loathe current trends and have done for a while, I decided to try to opt out.

I love old stuff, Edwardian, 1920's looks, and a sort of sleek bohemian silhouette. I don't want anything uncomfy or frilly or complicated, but I hate synthetics and can never find anything i want anywhere, no matter the budget.

So this summer, I am going to have a few of my cotton and linen edwardian nighties altered to work as summer dresses. Paired with maybe a floaty gown or fine knit cotton cardi, or a lovely woven belt. Probably wear with brown sandals or lace up ankle boots. It doesn't look at all odd or old fashioned when done, as floaty linen stuff is current enough to adapt it to.

I have also cut down a massive amount, so have ery few clothes now, but those that I do have - I love.

The past 2 years taught me that I am not at all interested in trends or being immaculately current. I am not interested in looking wealthy or wacky or making a statement. I just want to wear what i always dreamed of, and make it work for me in the current era!

Through winter I have just cycled through some old cashmere, wool skirts and some baggy jeans with my long wool coats, flapping around like Withnail Grin

I don't work for an employer so can easily let my mind go a bit free here, to a point. I am utterly done with anything fitted, figure flattering or remotely conservative. I just can't stand 'dressy' although i adore dresses themselves. They just have to be an extension of my personality and effortlessly easy. I am difficult to please!

QuizzicalEyebrows · 01/03/2022 13:14

Yesterday I was at a work training event and everyone wore active wear leggings with trainers as did I

WellTidy · 01/03/2022 13:35

I’ve recently (granted, several years behind everyone else) found wide leg trousers or yoga type pants, with trainers, long sleeve top and a sleeveless slouchy type knit.

So easy to wear, also nice and warm, but not at all what I’d have previously worn.

WellTidy · 01/03/2022 13:36

Also wore pleather jeggings, trainers and a very bright oversize wide knitted polo neck yesterday.

mumonthehill · 01/03/2022 13:39

I now pull at clothes in shops and if there is no stretch I move on!!!

findingthewords · 01/03/2022 13:43

jeans and jumpers and tracksuit bottoms. So, so dull but just can't seem to shake myself out of it.

NannaKaren · 01/03/2022 17:24

My style mojo died 2 years ago :0((
Love this comment :

“Shuffleuplove

I tried heels on the other day and I walk like a bloke who has wet his pants. I put them back in the cupboard. Heels are over.”

Lulu1919 · 01/03/2022 18:32

What style !!!!

Lookingoutside · 01/03/2022 18:58

Ditched heals for good and discovered stompy boots and trainers.

Also smart joggers. Absolutely love them.

Lookingoutside · 01/03/2022 19:00

@WellTidy

‘Also wore pleather jeggings, trainers and a very bright oversize wide knitted polo neck yesterday.’

This sounds absolutely perfect.

liveforsummer · 01/03/2022 19:01

@Lookingoutside can you pony me in the direction of smart joggers please as I'm liking the sound of them

liveforsummer · 01/03/2022 19:01

*point

SaggyTights · 01/03/2022 19:02

I wore pencil dresses and heels for work. I now wear flats and shorter shift dresses/skirts or trousers. Much more comfortable and less clingy/trussed up!

I ditched underwire bras, too.

And I discovered the joys of a onesie when knocking about at home 😆

liveforsummer · 01/03/2022 19:03

Also interested in the pleather jeggings
