May I just say how in awe I am of the sea swimming. I tried to keep going all last year but was defeated in late October when it took me til three in the morning to warm up after a dip here in Cornwall. Then I read theres someone here doing it in the NE and I feel like an utter wuss!
Will try to post an outfit later. But it's more gardening here so I doubt it'll set the world alight!

I had a lovely day thank you all. DD was well enough for us all to play rummikub in her room in the evening which was a huge bonus, she’s often not. 23 years ago I was in labour with her so she owed me! Dinner was good and it was just nice to relax at home with the boy and his lovely GF.

Going into town later - apparently there’s football on first.. wearing a The Smiths tee, with All Saints combats and Jigsaw boots. Sooverthemill has inspired me to maybe change into paler colours though - seems more Springlike.

@intwrferingma - don't be so hard on yourself - re sea swimming the first time is a huge shock!

But you do acclimatise much more quickly after even two or three dips.

Also - the right kit really helps. I have neoprene gloves and socks that I wear in the water, and a dry robe and hot water bottle for after xx

Top shop grey black ripped hem mom jeans, blue Primark ribbed neck light sweater/top, duck egg blue Emily and Fin cardigan. Black Dune suede Chelsea boots.

Yesterday black ribbed H&M skirt and Noella coral red Cherie slogan sweater, black Matalan biker boots, black opaque tights. Metal small rabbit earrings and red multi beaded and white macrame (?) bracelet.

@stylemeup - no you’re not too old for denim dungarees.

My DM, 80, wears Lucy and Yak dungarees but in corduroy and my SIL was telling me most of her colleagues at work wear them too.

I don’t suit them so don’t wear them but if you do go for it!

Absolutely- I couldn't be without my gloves and boots this time of year! When it's really cold I sometimes wear a merino wool surf vest as well which helps.

I've totally dropped off this thread... this last week has been insane for work, and then my toddler projectile vomited on me on Friday morning so that was an entire day crossed off when I really needed to catch up. Oh well. Said toddler is fine, and it's been a good weekend.

I've seen so many lovely outfits on this thread, it's really challenging me to be more adventurous. I did pick up this sparkly Hush tuxedo on ebay (£20, tags still attached) a few weeks back. Think a few people (?) on this thread have it. I love it, wore it to a lunch date with a friend paired with an All Saints white t-shirt and Sainsbury's acid wash jeans, and high top converse.

Oh I did trial this during the week - cropped wide culottes with flat ankle boots. I like it, but my friend thought it makes people look stout...

@Sickoffamilydrama I sold my Hush high tops on ebay, they seemed reasonable for quality though, you should definitely return yours if they are falling apart that soon!
Not an exciting outfit from me today but I haven't been anywhere exciting! Breakfast out with the dc and dog, taking kids to various football matches (DH is away) and lots of boring chores at home. Had a lovely early morning sea swim though and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine this evening with the last episode of peaky blinders (very tense but brilliant).

@EllaPaella, they are the Frieda trousers. I got them a few months ago so not sure if they are still available. I am keeping an eye out myself because if they do other colours I will be investing - bloody love em.
