Non awful walking/comfortable sandals

We are off on holidays soon. Lots of city walking It’s going to be hot so I thought walking sandals. But they give me the heebie jeebies. I have Birkenstocks but I just don’t think they will be comfy enough for a long day. I think I need more support. Any suggestions?

I wore toe thong sandals - like flip flops but with a slight heel in Disney. My toe was cut by the thong part by the end of the day. Dh had to give me a spare pair of his slider type shoes he had in his bag. I didn't care what I looked like once it didn't hurt anymore.
My foot swelled up and on returning home I went to the doctor. I had to calm him down and explain. He thought it was deep vein thrombosis caused by the flight.

Teva. They are fugly. But comfortable.

Fitflops there are so many to chose from - wear before you go just incase of rubbing - but I swear by this make - my go to website !

Also I wear Clarks cloudstepper sandals to work in the summer, and am now panicking that they have discontinued them as I can't find them on their website.

And definitely Birkenstock’s for standing around in long queues!

I second the Merrell Sandspur ones but with the heel strap, I have bought several pairs of these in a row as they are really comfy but look pretty good too! I think some of the newer styles are a bit different but these are the ones I like (other colours also available) Merrells
