Spring perfumes - what are you fancying this year?

I know it's still Winter, but I'm getting a bit bored of my smoky, leathery perfumes and looking forward to something a bit lighter and fresher over the next few months. What Spring scents do you enjoy? Share old classic favourites or new releases that you fancy trying

I bought the most lovely perfume the other day. I tried it and every time I sniffed it I was in heaven!! I just had to buy it! Body Shop. White Musk ‘Free’. So it’s one you can combine with White Musk or use on its own. On its own it is amazing!! Not White Musky at all by the way!! There’s 3 different types. It must be ‘Free’. It’s blue.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea is very nice. I have a had a few different versions of White Tea and Green Tea fragrances over the years.

I thought the same this morning OP - I looked at my heavy Winter perfumes and wished it was Spring!

I'm looking forward to wearing florals again. I have Narcisco Rodriguez Fleur Musc which is beautiful for Spring. Also Yardley Jade and the Ffern Spring 21 perfume which is beautiful and I still have over half the bottle left.

@Quornflakegirl I got the Aldi JM Blackberry and Bay dupe a few weeks ago - it's pretty good!

Jo Malone fans, how well do the scents last on you?

Have literally NEVER heard of 4160 Tuesdays but my gosh they sound gorgeous! Will probably order some samples off eBay and try some out. Thanks for the tip!

I fancy trying green tea and Ariana Grande cloud. Marketing wise probably opposite ends of the spectrum

@Lottapianos don't order the samples off eBay, go straight to the 4160 Tuesdays website. It's an indie business so you'll be supporting them. So many fabulous innovative fragrances. You're in for a treat!

The only Jo Malone scent that lasted a long time on me was Pomegranate Noir and that was sod's law because it didn't suit me.

I'm a lover of classic perfumes and amongst others I feel like wearing Diorissimo and Eau d'Issey for spring. Both have a lovely lily of the valley scent. I also like Eternity by Calvi Klein. I was wearing Chanel No 19 EDT today and that feels springlike to me as well, as does Chanel Cristalle. My beloved Shalimar will be put lovingly away until September.

That's funny, Blackberry & Bay is my Christmas scent... I wheel it out each December.

I'm desperate to try 4160 Tuesdays Rhubarb and Custard but not sure it'll be a Spring fragrance

I'm going to buy AG Cloud for DD so I can 'borrow' it!!

My winter fragrance is Dear Polly by vilhelm parfumerie, Blackberry and Bay is the complete opposite.

By coincidence, I also love Dear Polly. I wear that all year round.

I suspect I love B&B for Christmas as I was involved in the research for it's product development and was given a bottle once it was formulated, and that was a few weeks before Christmas. So it's probably nostalgia as much as anything ("nostalgia's good, but it's not what it used to be" ).

I’ve lined up:

Jill Sander Sun, this smells like holidays with a faint background of grannies perfume.

Zadig & Voltaire Girls can say anything: sweet floral with a powdery dry down, this is new for me and I love it.

Molton Brown Suede Orris: fresh and light floral with a hint of leathery smokiness which sounds bizarre but it’s amazing.

And am retiring:

Molton Brown Milk Musk: reminds me of sweaters and hot chocolate

Tom Ford Black Orchid; so heavy but delicious

Roberto Cavalli Nero Assoluto; kind of a lighter Tom Ford but with a liquorice/aniseed undertone.

@Lottapianos I was in primark yesterday and they’ve got another addition to the private range for valentines - can’t remember the names, something blush. Didn’t buy it because I’ve bought 5 perfumes in the last month already with winter sales. Kicking myself though because at £8 Primarks Jo Malone copies having more staying power on me than actual Jo Malone so worth a try for how cheap they are.

I have far too many perfumes but I love my collection.

My gosh, that 4160 Tuesdays website is an absolute treasure trove! They do some taster sets and theres one called Open Skies which sounds just perfect for Spring. Thanks everyone, so excited!

It looks fab but is it possible to order any samples? I couldn’t seem to find this option anywhere.

Naples from Gallivant is this year's spring scent for me, to be followed by Los Angeles if we have a summer!

This spring/summer I will mostly be wearing Byredo gypsy water and 1996, Maison margiela lazy Sunday morning and beach walk and penhaligons juniper sling and orange blossom.
