Spring perfumes - what are you fancying this year?

I know it's still Winter, but I'm getting a bit bored of my smoky, leathery perfumes and looking forward to something a bit lighter and fresher over the next few months. What Spring scents do you enjoy? Share old classic favourites or new releases that you fancy trying

Molecule 01 + Mandarin, a fantastic juicy orange with a lasting woody depth. I love it.

Plus Jo's Rhubarb from Zara, so light and fresh and zingy.

I love spring for perfume - I hardly wear it in winter, but always look forward to light, fresh scents in spring.

Perfumes are such a personal thing aren’t they? A while ago I ordered a taster set from 4160 Tuesdays after seeing so many positive comments on here. I was so disappointed as I didn’t like any of them. It wasn’t even that they were ok, I found them unbearable. There must be something in all of them that I just couldn’t get on with. Was a real shame as I was so excited about them!

Jil Sander sun
Bobbi brown beach
MMM beach walk
DKNY woman

MissBattleaxe · 02/02/2022 10:39

@BaconAndAvocado hi! you buy the samples/taster sets from the site but you have to go to "shop" and scroll down until you come to Other Lovely Things and you'll see taster sets listed.

ihaveonecat · 02/02/2022 10:39

Oh and PP dupe of kilian Love

Lauren0902 · 02/02/2022 10:48

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc and Molton Brown Flora Luminaire this year and then into Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess which is my summer staple

Lottapianos · 02/02/2022 11:07

So true. What a shame about the 4160 Tuesdays samples

I know people are mentioning beachy, sandy scents like Bronze Goddess etc but to me they are more July / August perfumes. In Spring, I want white flowers, and green scents and freshness, and soapy, powdery smells. I bought Prada Infusion d'Iris last Spring and loved it

I have just ordered Givenchy Irresistable as my Spring scent.

Sorry, only 50ml. Seems to have lasted ages though!

Oh no! I've had a taster set delivered to my parents in the UK as I live abroad and I'm looking forward to collecting them on my next visit. I really hope I like them.
FanGirlX · 02/02/2022 19:02

Thanks all. On the market for a new perfume 😀

MissBattleaxe · 02/02/2022 19:52

Well keep an open mind about 4160 Tuesdays. There are over 60 fragrances so if you don't like a few, that sounds about normal. I'm a big fan of the brand ( and Sarah McCartney is a friend) but I don't like all of them. They're all very different. For example you have Meet me on The Corner which a wonderful citrussy chypre then you've got Over The Chocolate Shop which couldn't be more different. Personally, I like all the ones with roses in.

@DramaAlpaca

I'm a lover of classic perfumes and amongst others I feel like wearing Diorissimo and Eau d'Issey for spring. Both have a lovely lily of the valley scent. I also like Eternity by Calvi Klein. I was wearing Chanel No 19 EDT today and that feels springlike to me as well, as does Chanel Cristalle. My beloved Shalimar will be put lovingly away until September.
I agree with these and also love Miss Dior and Diorella. The classics are the best.
ThankYouVeryMuchGerry · 03/02/2022 13:58

French Lime Blossom by Jo Malone is my absolute favourite spring perfume. As soon as I smelled it I knew I would wear it forever, it lifts my mood and makes me feel like a spring goddess!

Cantonet · 03/02/2022 14:11

I really want Perfumer H (Lyn Harris) Gold & 🍋 tree - fantastic Citrus's but I need to save up for them first.
Spring scents for me are Diorissimo, Cristalle edp, Fleur du Matin by Miller Harris, Private Collection vintage, Private Collection White Moss & Jasmin, Safari, Ffern Summer 19 & Ffern Spring & Summer 20. Anything green, with Galbanum in and pungent will do the trick.

JMAngel1 · 03/02/2022 19:50

I always struggle to find a spring scent. I always search for a green musky dry down scent - not that floral. I have memories of VW Sin Garden - now discontinued. Would love to find something like that.
I quite like the green Chanel Chance but it has terrible projection and longevity on me.
I'm toying with ordering Cabotine for a trip down memory lane but not sure I want that much projectiin and longevity Grin

'I'm toying with ordering Cabotine for a trip down memory lane but not sure I want that much projectiin and longevity grin'.

Oh wow. Used to adore Cabotine. Had forgotten all about it. Thanks for the reminder!

If anyone, @MissBattleaxe
can recommend a green opening musky dry down, maybe with iris thrown in too, would love to hear recommendations. I have the perfect Autumn scent (NR for her), the perfect winter scents (Replica BTF and TF Lost Cherry) and summer scents (Light Blue intense and Neroli Portofino) - I can never find a signature spring scent.

JMAngel1 · 03/02/2022 20:15

@Lottapianos
Ha ha. I’m a bit scared 😱. It’s a heavy hitter for sure - I wore it in the mid 90s - not sure if it will be too much for now but may give it a whirl for old times sake - I can be 25 again Grin

MissBattleaxe · 03/02/2022 20:38

@JMAngel1 I saw the Bat Signal. You rang? I have just the thing. Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana. Beautiful green fragrance with a pretty white musk base.

JMAngel1 · 03/02/2022 20:42

Grin. I knew you’d come good @MissBattleaxe
Off to sniff tomorrow. Thank you 😊

Lottapianos · 03/02/2022 20:46

'Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana'

Going to investigate. Thanks!

Ooh, I have a bottle of Cabotine! I must dig it out and add it to my list for spring.
